Congratulations on your weight loss that's fantastic!

Congratulations, that’s awesome! I have binge eating disorder, and it’s a nightmare to try and lose weight when you’ve got that going on along with a bunch of other stuff like depression, anxiety, hormonal issues, etc. I’m on Vyvanse for the BED, Bupropion for the depression, and I just started the daily Victoza injection for weight loss. IMy doctor was shooting for Wegovy, but insurance didn’t want to pay for it. Which, for what it’s worth, I think is totally ridiculous. Anyway, I definitely notice a decrease in appetite since starting it, and there are negative consequences if I eat too much, especially if it’s carbs, sugar, or lots of fat. I’d love to hear how things are going as you progress through the Mounjaro journey. Keep us posted! :)

I will! Thanks so much for the comment. I hope the Victoza works for you! I would keep an eye on your insurance because things keep changing!

I just found you this morning. Don't worry about what people think who cares it's our lives. I worked so hard for 3 years on the keto diet on the carnivore diet egg diet you-name-it diet I just kept gaining and losing the same 3 lbs. I'm on my second shot was Mounjaro. Type 2 63 years old 187 lbs. 5'8 inches .You did the right thing because once you cross over to type 2 diabetes..it's extremely hard to lose weight. I have never been very overweight yet I got Diabetes. MJ is a amazing drug. 🎉

@@VVylt you may be one of those people that don’t lose much on the 2.5 dose. It happens a lot, so if you are feeling fine (symptom free).. maybe you should move up to 5mg from your 5th week. People react so differently, as some actually stay on 2.5 for the duration of their time using mounjaro and continue to lose. Good luck

The answer is keto/high protein/zero sugar , this is just the help to get you keto long enough to get healing from high insulin, lose the weight etc. good luck. Sugar is the enemy that will make you gain it back. Trust me I’ve lost 60lbs 5x!

I wanted to add that I don't believe metformin makes your feet and hands numb it was just bad circulation I'm on Metformin with Mounjaro. Metformin is often prescribed for people that have your condition and it works really good to prevent ever going to type 2. You might want to reconsider it someday. I take the metformin ER. It's really cheap and it works real well. For some reason it keeps me more emotionally balanced also. I'm not sure how but it does. Just like MJ Metformin crosses the brain barrier. Many people lose weight on Metformin I really never did that's why I started Mounjaro a week ago. 😅
@Abceh5 ай бұрын
Hi how was your experience? I’m about to start both soon!

Metformin can lead to vitamin b12 deficiency which can cause numbness tingling and other things

Just a thought, changing your diet so many times in such a short amount of time is completely counter-productive for your metabolism.... consistency is key for weight loss, and patience... not judging, but just a thought! The Body is very smart and adjusts very quickly to changes...

I totally agree! I gained weight even though I was always pretty petite and doctors just assumed I was lazy! Even though i was going to the gym and really long walks andd eating soo healthy! I think I have undiagnosed PCOS especially with the bloating in the lower stomach area. Iv have been on Mounjaro for 3 weeks and feel amazing! And have lost about 4kg! In addition to this i was suffering from constantly needing the toilet at night and last night was the first night in about 4/5 years that I slept all the way through 😢😂🎉❤❤

I feel like most women having to take this have either pcos, thypothyroidism or both... they should treat people's hormonal imbalances instead of shutting down their hunger cues...ignoring the reason your body is so hungry is the problem. Starving yourself will only fire back later on... especially if the actual hormonal imbalance is not fixed. But I guess they can make so much more money like this as HRT is much cheaper ( not trying to be negative about the drug, its wonderful that it can work for weight loss...)
@sluttylibe2742 ай бұрын
Agreed! Insurance should cover it as well. However I don’t know anyone who starves themselves on this medicine ❤. Most drs will tell you to eat high protein, high fiber low carb and to workout regularly. But this medicine gives the boost needed to implement those lifestyle changes. Hope this helps you 🎉

You don't know what you are talking about. I have autoimune hypothyreoism and other autoimune disease. Take hormones for my thyreoid issues but the other one is not treatable. Thanks to this I have metabolic syndrome and hormonal inbalances. In my case, THEY ARE NOT TREATABLE. Could not lose weight. Now on Mounjaro I'm finally losing weight. And I didn't change diet, work out routine, sleep hours, nothing. And I'm definitelly not starving. So it is a business of course, but in many cases it is real savior.
