The fact that she defended herself so blatantly and unapologetically makes me think that she isn't a bitch on purpose. Probably not. I still don't think she's a diva though. Her relationship with the cast and crew always seemed genuine (apart from Shonda cuz that woman knows how to hold a grudge)... Personally I wouldn't say men aren't labelled. If a man simply has an allegation against him, he's cancelled (or lucky if he manages to prove his own innocence). If you take the Johnny Depp situation, he's accused, that's publicised and his career takes a massive hit, while his ex publicly admitted to domestic abuse still has a career (is this because she is a woman?). Metoo spokesperson Asia Argento is accused of sexual misconduct without facing a similar judgement that accused men go through, and even when it was proven she lied, loses a single job. Even in many cases if a woman lies about an allegation, she gets to be anonymous while that man's life is left in ruins.
@ComedyGlor3 жыл бұрын
@@dannyr2976 that has nothing to do with labels, or anything I was talking about for that matter. All women have to go through the threat of being labelled something if they express their views too much or if their views aren’t digestible enough. False accusations only occur 1-10% of the time. So if I were to talk about those cases, I’d be talking about the minority, that rarely happen. I’d much rather talk about the fact that when someone gets raped, the rapist is hardly ever convicted, or not given a sufficient sentence, so why don’t we talk about that instead? Only 1.7% of reported rapes are even prosecuted, and yet y’all wanna go on about false accusations all the time. Yeah it’s not good but it rarely happens so maybe only bring it up when it’s actually relevant or necessary, not when a woman is bringing up problems that she faces.

@@ComedyGlor My point is labels can go both ways (MAN UP! for one, which is incredibly insulting) maybe in different ways, but they do occur, and if me bringing up false allegations should brought up when it’s actually relevant or necessary, then you bringing up the subject of rape should be the same, no?

And men who aren't seen as strong are labelled weak, incels or expected to 'man up'. It's like the expression _"For every action, there is and opposite reaction..."_ so if woman are judged for being a certain way, men are judged for the opposite. Case in point the Johnny Depp/Amber Heard situation. Depp was judged on a ruling based on story written on her word, that f**ked him up big time, yet when audio of her wrongdoing was leaked, there was no rush to judgement, no immediate cancellation, even though she has previous form. 'Metoo' advocate Asia Argento accused, said she was innocent, lied and not cancelled, only two examples I know, but don't want to create a whole list for the sake of the comment section. The point is that women may be labelled is some instances, but so are men, case in point Edward Norton has such a bad rap in Hollywood to the point he rarely makes movies in tinsel town, Bruce Willis in the latter end of his career had been labelled 'difficult' by MANY he's worked with and his punishment.... well just look at the calibre of movies he stars in the last decade. Men are judged in different ways, from being completely emasculated and take it, to being responsible for all that's wrong with the world. kzbin.info/www/bejne/pKCad6iMrMihbNk

I personally wouldn't have taken the role. Working wiht those studio execs can be murder but I have always seen her be very polite, kind , sweet and down to earth with her fans and that's really all that matters.

When someone in the entertainment industry gets labeled difficult to work with, question what you're being told. This is an industry where powerful men can make or break you. Often they will leverage their power into getting these women to do things they don't want to do, under the ultimatum that if they refuse, they will "never work in this town again." One of the ways these people, virtually always young and attractive women, get blacklisted from producers' phone books is they all of a sudden get a reputation for being a diva.
@lanivelazquez53088 жыл бұрын
Why is everyone hating on her? It's not like you haven't done a bitchy thing in your life. If everyone was famous, everyone would be labeled a diva. Think about that before blowing up about her. I'm SURE she's a better person than you.

There isn't one cast member of Grey's Anatomy that I'd want to have a friendly sit down dinner with others with. They would ALL be difficult. I think the casting director's boss said "I want you to get the bitchiest men and women actors as possible. I want actors who think they are Tom Cruise and actresses who think they should be paid more than Tom Cruise"

When multiple people from different jobs and separate films/TVs tell you that you are difficult to with, you don't deny that and say, "I know I'm not difficult to work with". You reflect, and think "I've been hearing that a lot, I wonder what it is that I do that makes others think that I am this and that". You talk to your bosses, and your colleagues and seek constructive feedback on how you can improve as a player a part of the team. And you don't take those feedback personally, you take them objectively with the only goal of becoming a better actor or a better colleague or whatever.

I think she was just very straightforward with voicing her opinion and people did not like that with age you learn how to be honest without being so blunt about it. I was always so confused by this because every character she played was very likeable I can’t imagine her faking that. I imagine that the characters she plays are similar to her personality. The sad thing about hollywood is that you make some mistakes and somehow it embodies your entire character. and her commentary about kocked up was on point hollywood typically stigmatising social roles.

I honestly think that almost all stars are hard to work with. They call it being "professional", but there's nothing professional about acting arrogant and diva. You can be kind and patient and understanding and still be labeled professional. There are actors who think that just because they've been in a lot of movies they can change the script, demand this and demand that, and if they don't get what they want then they threaten to quit. If I was a director and some actor did that to me, I'd be like, ".... Okay. Quit then. That's what I have extras for. There are plenty of people on this set that would kill for your part." Despite all of that though, she's still one of my favorite actresses.

Whitney Pyant - The OP of this comment said that KH was unconvincing in this interview. My question was meant to ask how/what in this interview was unconvincing? How did her behaviour in this interview show the OP that she is unpleasant to work with? Either way, half of the stuff people say about her is pure gossip or spreading of info from other sources. Unless someone knows her personally or was actually there for these situations, no one can say with any guarantee what she is like or what she did.

Amanda Lovatsis according to several witnesses on the films that she worked with all said the same thing. In this interview she coming off as the victim.
@amandalovatsis8 жыл бұрын
Whitney Pyant - *"according to several witnesses on the films that she worked with"* Yeah, again - secondary sources. Like I said. You just proved my point. You are getting your info from other sources, from things that "other people said" and since you were not there yourself, you can not verify the validity of those claims. Anyway, believe what you want. But I personally don't go around believing every single thing that I read or hear, especially when it comes to celebrities. If I don't know someone personally or if I wasn't there to witness it myself, then I'm not going to take someone else's word for what happened.

She said it well. I dont know what they said in other press that this interview ruined her. I can read a person's action and their words pretty well and I can say that she meant it. In this society, people need to recognize that there is an inequality bet man and women. If a men say and do rude thing it is acceptable when a woman does it. She considers to be a B and rude. There will come to a time that they need to accept people just either have a bad day or that is normal behavior and move on. What she said is right - she has rights to said that's not right, set boundaries and whatever needed. It takes a strong man to accept a strong woman.

Often people expect people to not say anything or to just keep quiet when disrespected. They they get to bully you some more because it is what they are hoping for. Then you meet someone like KH who is a strong woman who sets boundaries and knows what she wants and she is called rude and difficult to work with. It is sad how people who have money or people who expects you to just roll over because they said so don't know a thing about respect for others. Good for you Katherine, I am a big fan and I believe no amount of money should anyone lose their integrity no matter what the consequences are. Jesus was perfect and He is God and he was called worst. But some people speak without truth, so we are not exempted to that. We just have to be ready to be called worst and let God judge them in the end.
