@@jonanpeppers6448 it's because the protagonsits hate her. You have to watch tvd 100% objective. If you do that you'll realise all the protagonsits in ALL SEASONS. Even elena... They always do horrible things. Also selfish things. Yes they protect the people THEY LOVE. They sacrifice themself for the people THEY LOVE. But they Slaughter down innocents for them, too. That's selfish, too. Katherine doesn't do worse things. Actually they do because she does it for her freedom. They don't. They kill way more often bc of their emotions and they mostly don't have a true force to do that. But they're hypocrotical. Blaming people doing the same things, like klaus.. but not blaming themselves most of the time. If you realise that. You'll understand every single thing in the series and you'll understand katherine and that the mystic gang did worse things to katherine than katherine to them. And you'll see that tvd fans are manipulated while watching. Actually calling them "heroes" and so on. So if you define 'evil' by evil actions. All tvd characters are evil. I personally don't. So katherine is a good person, too,just like the tvd protagonists. They're simply vampires and murdering is just not that huge anymore when you're a vampire. So my point: fans like to hate katherine as long as they let themself being manipulate by the protagonists (totally natural behavior while watching a movie/series)

Sounds stupid but you always have to look closely. Then you'll first realise those characters I mentioned they'rr doing worse than katherine.. We don't know with damon but elena and klaus killed thousands of people and I think katherine and damon killed about the same number. And so on I don't want to write an entire book again so I'll just quit now😂 but elena, damon and klaus are definitely worse people (they're all good)😂

Just a few things worth noting: 1. The reason there are so many events is that the month surrounding the anniversary of the town's founding is celebrated with various events, which is mentioned in the show. It's an otherwise remote and quiet town, and this time of year is important to the locals. 2. Vampires are heightened in all their behaviors since turning. This is why Caroline is so different from Vicki; Caroline was an insecure overachiever as a human, which has made her very much in control of her behaviors as a vampire. Vicki was a junkie who couldn't control any impulse as a human, let alone as a vampire. 3. Bonnie is still a young witch who only has her Gram's grimoire to study and practice from, and outside of a few specific spells at this point is hardly diverse with her knowledge and application of magic. Though as a witch of the Bennet bloodline she has great potential. 4. Stephan lost the arm wrestle with Mason because, at the time, he didn't want to blow his cover as a vampire. If he'd beaten him Mason would have known right away something wasn't right with him. 5. When Katherine mentioned Stephan's strength she was referring to his age (it's been over 150 years since she's seen him), not his diet. Can't wait to see the rest though! The season gets really good from this point on.

Vicki had a very chaotic personality, and no desire to even try to control herself. Blood was just like another drug for her and she wanted to revel in it, not control her hunger. When Stefan was trying to teach her she literally said "Ugh don't give me that, drug counselors have been trying for years and it just doesn't work". It doesn't work because she didn't want to stop using. She had zero self-esteem, no reason to live, and just wanted to get high and numb the pain. Becoming a vampire just amplified those traits in her. She was always going to be a very problematic vampire. Caroline on the other hand is a control freak haha

I actually disagree that it goes downhill after season 4. I think seasons 1-4 definitely had the most fast-paced, intense stuff and the other seasons start out slower but definitely pick up and get really good. It's also very different watching it live vs binge-watching it. It feels much slower when you have to wait a week between each episode, but I feel like when you're binge-watching it, it won't drag quite so much at times. Season 2 is definitely my favorite though and I CANNOT WAIT for you to get through the next set of episodes!! Exciting things are on the way!!

i think you have some misconceptions about bonnie/witches and that's why you don't get why she's acting the way she does sometimes. witches in the supernatural world are on the side of life and nature. which makes them like the natural opposite of what vampires stand for, which is feeding on life and opposing nature's flow of mortality. that's why by nature witches are supposed to be against vampires and in the series that's the side they are supposed to be on instinctively. but in bonnie's case since elena is one of her best friends that gives her an emotional link of a kind to the salvatore brothers (mainly stefan at first who's also so obviously trying to be good most of the time) since in any other situation you'd be hesitant to kill someone your best friend loves so much. then there's also caroline now. more and more of her beloved people are getting tangled into it. that's why bonnie is acting so contrary a lot. her instinctual reaction is to be against vampirism. also we shouldn't forget that bonnie is still a high schooler here, pretty young both in age and also to witchery, so if sometimes she fumbles.. well i really don't think it's unrealistic. also in the series witchcraft has its limitations, mostly on the user's body. so that's why bonnie can't just do anything, it's not the kind of power she can tap into endlessly to do big things, it'd tax her body/life a lot. we've already seen it happen with her gramps.
