It never ceases to amaze me at how many people believe that they can commit murder and get away with it.
@glamdolly3011 ай бұрын
In truth, half of them do! America is among the worst countries at solving murders in the industrialised world. In 2023, the USA clear-up rate for homicides stands at around 50%. Yes, you read that right! Approximately half of all murderers get away with it in the States, compared to a much more respectable 10% murders unsolved, and 90% solved, in Germany. Currently in the US, being jailed, or walking free after killing another human being, amounts to a simple coin toss. Shocking, huh?

@glamdolly3011 ай бұрын
@@amills9261 The huge difference in crime clean-up rates between countries, shows the standard of a nation's police investigations, dictates whether its killers are caught or escape justice. I get where you're coming from with your original comment though. Most killers are known to their victim, and have some sort of relationship with them, however distant. Stranger murders, where killer and victim meet for the very first time at the crime scene and have no prior connection, are the rarest kind of homicides - and are obviously the hardest to solve. But if you choose to attack and kill someone you know, say a relative, friend or work colleague, you will automatically be on the detectives' suspects list, purely because you knew them. That puts pressure on a murderer. It means you'll be considered and interviewed by police as a potential suspect, and you must keep your cool throughout, deny any involvement, and lie about your alibi without slipping up. Surprisingly, many people are capable of such deception. The kind of psychopath who can kill another human being without any remorse or guilt, has the same ruthless determination that can face down a detective's accusations - and in some cases, can even beat a lie detector! And when a person gets away with murder once, they are likely to feel untouchable and do it again. Sadly this has been demonstrated many times but the 2016 murder of British author Helen Bailey is a chilling example. Millionaire Helen had recently lost her beloved husband in a freak drowning accident while on a Caribbean vacation. Lonely and depressed, she was pursued by Ian Stewart through a Facebook support group for widows and widowers. He sent her friendly, flirty messages, and quickly asked to see a photo of her house - he clearly wanted to work out her finances, before he decided to target her. Stewart told her his wife Diane had died of epilepsy six years earlier, when she was home alone. In fact he had murdered her, but the crime went undetected. He pocketed a life insurance payout, but more importantly he avoided the divorce that was looming, as friends and family revealed the couple had not been getting on for a while. That meant he got to keep all their joint assets - assets that were his biggest motive for murder, as he was determined he would not share them with her. This left Stewart free to plot a repeat of the crime, this time targeting a wealthy woman, so he would get rich from it. Having escaped justice once, he was fully confident he'd get away with murder a second time. Helen was the perfect victim - she'd only ever experienced one romantic relationship, her happy marriage to the love of her life, so was naive about men. She took Stewart's love-bombing at face value, and never considered he might be a gold-digger. In fact, he was far worse - a wife killer. Within weeks Stewart had moved in with her, proposed and persuaded her to buy the house of his dreams, a mansion with swimming pool, in the village he'd lived in all his life. He also got her to make him the main recipient of her will and life insurance - a fortune totalling several million pounds. Helen trusted him completely. He smothered her to death one morning, as she was planning their wedding arrangements. He then put her lifeless body on a sheet and dragged her through the house and out into the garden, dumping her in a hidden cesspit full of raw sewage, accessed from their garage. He then lured her beloved Dachshund Boris there, and he too wound up dead in the squalid cesspit, alongside his mistress. There's only one thing more dangerous than a psychopath - a psychopath who has got away with murder. Just think how many of them are walking free in America right now, as I type this. Chilling!

Idk I mean if the CIA needed me to take out a dirty evil dude for a hefty payday and never speak of it and I had assurances it was sanctioned and necessary I’d give it some thought. Sadly society is weak and doesn’t have the sense to see some folks just shouldn’t walk the earth. I mean look at life serving gangsters that have been in and out of prisons just a thorn in society and out there harming good citizens over and over why should we keep them going and pay to sit in prison if they just can’t function in society? Better to euthanize them cheaply and move on. Clearly my ramble has nothing to do with a case like this because yeah they were idiots to take the life of a good person all for some money they could have just earned in a job and spent their lives free. The bigger sad part is they were just pawns, low level folks that just dreamed to have some actual money... the real vile humans are free with the exception of Charlie and who knows how that case will go. I highly doubt Florida will ever get Wendi, Harvey or Donna (she still got nervous Diarrhea?) They masterminded, pulled the strings, and flashed the 100k to desperate ppl and they aren’t going to pay for it. I hope Dan’s spirit haunt their days and one day the Markel children (I refuse to call them the Adelson children) grow up to realize their mom had their dad murdered. She’s brainwashing them now all in hopes they never realize it for themselves. Sad... even if my partner was complicated I could never consider ending her life and the fact they did with such little concern as if it was paying for labor for any odd job is sickening

@@steelcom5976 Wendi was not given full immunity. She's only immune from having her testimony at the other trials being used against her. There is plenty of evidence, it's just less than the other two. I believe they will go for her soon.
@glamdolly3011 ай бұрын
@@steelcom5976 Wendi Adelson does NOT have total immunity from a future murder prosecution. She was only granted a strictly limited version of immunity, which prevents her testimony at Garcia and Magbanua's murder trials - and recently at her brother Charlie's - being used against her in future legal proceedings. In fact Wendi's position is extremely vulnerable following Charlie Adelson's recent murder conviction, and mother Donna's (more recent still) indictment on similar charges, including the murder of Dan Markel. As any jury would fast recognise, Wendi had the biggest motive to want her ex husband/the father of her children dead, during an extremely acrimonious child custody battle. And she directly benefited far more than anyone else involved - particularly financially. Donna Adelson's prosecution is the next 'cab off the rank' in the dark, murder-for-hire story of Dan Markel. Police are keeping a very close eye on her daughter Wendi Adelson and her movements, just as they watched Donna, and caught her red-handed at an airport, trying to flee to Vietnam. Prosecutors have Wendi, the victim's ex wife, firmly in their sites - she was the driving force in Dan Markel's assassination by small time gangsters. And she is the head they need to secure on a platter, if justice can ever truly be done in this troubling case. #JusticeForDanMarkel

@@secondrule You seem to be aging badly yourself. Donna is as dumb as a mud fence, paying Magbanua a massive amount of cash for services not rendered???? Charlie was the go-between, the wantabe hero of the family who executed the plan. Wendi is likely innocent. She handed over all her devices to the cops before a warrant was issued. Criminals never do that. Not only was she given immunity, but she was subpoened by the Prosecution. Prosecutors never subpoena suspects in a crime.
