From one of our fave gravel pit free camps, we explored Nitmiluk (Katherrine Gorge), Edith Falls and Katherine. Hitting the highway we discovered Umbrawarra Gorge, before reaching the oasis of Adelaide River and going to the very somber War Cemetery where we began to get a feel of the real impact of WW II on Darwin and the top end. We then make our first of many trips to Litchfield National Park, one of our favourite places to explore in the NT.
