A lot of the budget goes to the execs at the top. Take the Acoshyte, for example. Leslie Hedland got paid as: creator, writer, director and producer. The production company she owns, Shoot to Midnight, also got paid for working on the show. And I'd be willing to bet any external contractor who worked on the show got picked by Hedland with some sort of kickback involved. It's why the shows cost so much but look so cheap.

I don't understand the CEO's that think people watched Netflix because of their own shows. They did a few good ones at the start, too, but that isn't why people went there. It was a library like Blockbuster where you could get all the latest good movies to watch for a flatrate. Good movies. People went there to watch good movies that weren't in cinema anymore without buying the DVD. Game of Thrones was the only stand out show in streaming and CEOs follow that hype. Game of Thrones was great, people watched it because it was great. Not because it is content. You can't make people watch the content. People must want to watch said content, too. Right now they produce the movies for the modern audience, which is just Hollywood + friends.

Godzilla -1 used practical effects and the budget was 10 million or so. The question is will Andor season 2 bring in a massive amount of new subscribers and then be able to pay off their line of credit for this show. If not, well say goodbye to shows like Andor.

Well, there won't be shows like Andor if there is overspending and not being able to pay back the line of credit to make this show. Many high quality movies and TV shows have been made for much less, beign successful and making a profit for a studio company. Do you think Andor season 2 will bring in so many new subscribers. How many of these new subscribers will pay for Andor season season 2. Be grateful that this show has happened because there won't be anymore like it if Disney doesn't make money from it. Disney is in the business to make money and don't care what fans think.

It will have to be on the level of Shogun, a masterpiece, to entice new viewers. I know they get back a lot of tax credits but is that enough? . Why are there so few good films out there, well Take $750m/10=75mil, You can make 10 1.5 hour 1st time film director Starwars films, each with a75m Budget and NO marketing budget. And I guarantee you will make more money from them than Endor, and you get 15 HOURS of content, Just plain Dumb spend.

Please don't kill me for this but I didn't think Andor was "All that". Just my opinion but in Rogue One I didn't find the character likeable at all so it's not a shock I didn't like the show. I did watch the whole season just to give it a chance but it just doesn't land with me. I only disliked it but I hated The Acolyte!!! Lol
