Drugstore Dupes for High End Makeup

One thing I love about you is that you're so real and understanding about the fact that not everyone buys endless high makeup. So many beauty girls use 99% high end bc "makeup is their job", and whenever they do mention drugstore they say "it's so great, for a drugstore product." I feel so disconnected from them. I really love how you do acknowledge how expensive the high end makeup is and can admit that in some cases drug store is equal if not better. Love it!

+Erin the damn truth of the matter is that a lot of high end products are just a difference in packaging. i forgot who's video i was watching, but they were discussing how a lot of higher end brands are actually owned by the "cheaper companies", and use a lot of the same ingredients. it's just different packaging. (NOT ALL. some high end brands earn their worth..Just, a lot).

The nyx brow pencil bugs me because the caps for each end are different lengths so I've found myself trying to put the shorter one on the pencil part instead of the spooly and I end up smooshing the product up into the cap. Maybe I just need to pay more attention but seems like such a simple fix that Nyx should consider with their packaging!

I have been searching for a good affordable brand glitter glue (NYX glitter glue seems to ALWAYS be out of stock at ulta) and I'm so excited to find there are other options out there. This BLEW MY MIND. I can't remember which youtuber it was that I learned this from (maybe Marlena from MUG?) but it is actually extremely likely that the Anastasia and NYX eyebrow pencils have the EXACT SAME formula. Apparently they're made in the same city or something, and she said that it's unlikely that they have two different factories making each product, so they're probably made in the exact same factory and using the same formula....only differences are the packaging and the spoolies! :D So as far as NYX v. Anastasia, I'd definitely go with NYX since the Anastasia, in the words of my favorite youtuber...."das espensive!!" :P Loved loved loved this video :)

I live in the UK and the collection brand is amazing if you ever decide to come to the UK, do visit boots or superdrug (our drugstores) because there are so many amazing brands for really amazing affordable products. I personally don't own that exact palette but I have just the regular nude palette and it is my holy grail drugstore product!

The closest dupes for the Naked Pallets that I've been able to find are still from the UK, but they're as close as I can find, the W7 pallets. They have 4, I think. I got the dupe for the Naked2 pallet for my mother in law because she saw it while we were out shopping, but neither of us could afford it, so since she really loved it I went on a quest to find a better priced dupe for her and that's what I found. They're roughly $9 on Amazon, so not a bad price for the number of colors you get and the pigment is pretty good, though it's hit and miss with some colors. Hope someone finds this helpful! :)

the W7 palette is too powdery. The best dupe for the Naked 1, 2, and 3 palettes are Makeup Revolution Iconic palettes. They're spot on, and not as low quality as the W7 palettes

W7 Lightly Toasted, In the Buff and In the Nude are dupes shade for shade of the Naked, Naked 2 and Naked 3 palettes. The shadows in the W7 palettes are smooth and pigmented. I happened to find them online from a seller in the UK for $6.95 USD.
