Terrorists Ambushed an army truck in Kathua in the Rajouri Poonch area - killing 5 soldiers. Several others have been injured. After a period of relative quiet, why has Jammu and Kashmir erupted again? Has Pakistan Turned on the Terror Tap again? Since the Modi Government's swearing in there has been a consistent surge in terror attacks in Jammu and Kashmir. This attack comes just hours after an operation killed 6 terrorists in South Kashmir. What explains the spike in violence? Farooq Abdullah, NC Leader, who has previously advocated for talks with Pakistan today said "Pakistan is hell bent on war" .

Fault of army. Two vehicles not allowed to move freely like this. Clearly, patrolling that was supposed to be done on foot was being done on vehicles. Fatal negligence. Army must wake up. This has happened several times before but no one punished for breaking orders.

Are we discussing Agniveer or the how and why of shift of terrorism to south of Pir Panjal and more specifically Kathua. Kathua is nearer Punjab than Jammu. We speak of elections yet talk of increased deployment of security forces. How strange is that. Can we elect a state govt and say "we tried for last five years, but the Army and central security forces will continue to stay" The terrorist is out smarting us once in a while, Yes.
