Yes I don’t understand how Danni boatWright is more revered than Vecepia. They played similar games yet I feel Vecepia was deffinately superior.

Every winner relied on luck. Vecepia played a solid game. Staying under the radar and flipping back and forth is a totally legitimate way to play the game -- it worked, after all. She was never on a single person's radar up until the very end and she managed to survive it there by her own skill. Kathy was great and I love her but the fact is that she got voted out and these two didn't. Saying they're "undeserving" just because they're both pretty boring people is silly.

Kathy only got votes out at the final three though. With one vote, it was literally her or someone else, 50/50 so thats not a very good argument. Yes i know this is a 9 yr old comment. Honestly the reason people dont like V as a winner is because she was so under the radar the whole time and basically unnoticed it felt like her win came outta left field. I remember watching and thinking neleh had it in the bag because I couldn't remember a single thing V did

I mean this was back in the days when playing like a villain was seen as a bad thing. All the jury members had their speeches like Sean, praising the two contestants. Apparently, Jeff didn't think their speeches were nearly as bitter so he made them do it again

They weren’t even boring. Neleh was instrumental is the first big power shift and Vee initiated some of the most interesting convos about race. Vee also got very unlucky too. She entered the merge with a huge deficit, that certainly wasn’t lucky when the the previous winners won in part to immediately getting the numbers in the merge.

At the time when all-stars aired with the exception of big tom and Rupert, the final five were not fan-favs The ones who went out early pre-merge or early merge like Colby, Hatch, Ethan, Rob C., Kathy, Lex, and hell even Jerri.

I'm sick of all the Vecepia hate. She is not only a deserving winner, she is one of the better winners in Survivor history. Yes, she screwed Kathy. Saying she screwed Kathy is an understatement, what she did to Kathy might be the most heartless thing that had been done on Survivor up to that point. That having been said, that's what makes Vecepia a great player. She could adapt to any situation on Survivor, when Sean, Boston Rob and her were switched to Rotu. Vecepia was the only one smart enough to try to make friends with her new tribe mates. While some people may call that kissing ass that is why Vecepia wins and why Boston Rob and Sean didn't. She also did a lot of things intentionally that you may not have noticed. Like when she had the group meeting at F5 before they went to bed to talk about the situation. That was something Vecepia would do to cause fights between other people and she would sit back and watch. She would also do a thing called puffing where she went to Hunter and Boston Rob early on in the game and fed their egos to try and take one another out. She did the same thing with John when the switch happened. Vecepia is pretty much the perfect Survivor player. She is athletic, she can cause fights between people and not have people notice she started it, she was trained in the military to get along with every personality type, she can be pure evil when she needs to like she was when she screwed over Kathy and she is extremely good at not being voted out. And people often forget that its not always about controlling the game, it is about not being voted out.

I agree with all of this. The only real negative about her game is that she tried to vote out Neleh at the final four, who was the only person she had a chance of beating at that point. Had she gotten her way there, she would have lost to either Kathy or Paschal

Screwing over Kathy was the correct play. Kathy would have destroyed both Neleh and Vecepia in a Final 2, and Neleh probably takes Kathy out of Rotu loyalty if she wins without the deal.

Vee did a good job with the jury but I think she flubbed this answer a bit. Think Kathy was still really hurt by what she did and I think if she didn’t go on the defensive she probably has a good shot of getting her vote since I think Kathy had more in common with her than Neleh.

Kathy was never gonna vote for Vee at this point and this question was to disparage Vee’s game. This is actually when Vee talked the most of her actual strategy so it was nice to get that insight.

Kathy was the best. It was a very underrated season, due in large part to the disappointing final 2. If stupid Neleh hadn't purposely distracted Kathy in the final challenge. Two hypocritical 'religious' nothings in the final 2. Vecepia wouldn't own the less savory parts of the game, which is what Kathy's question really was about. Kathy was the original developing player who became something else through the game, and was a real player. She'll always be the best, and should have won.

Neleh & Veecepia were the most undeserving final 2 of any survivor season. Both of them relied on luck rather than skill to get that far. Pascal & Kathy would have made a better final 2.
