Bon Jovi was my favorite 80s band. You should check out Richie Sambora singing I'll be there for you. Richie always sang one song during their performances. Richie was co writer of most of the songs.

If you want to watch another incredible performance, watch Dry County Live from Wembley Stadium, 1995. (Damned TV Presents video). I think its from night #3. Not only an incredible performance, but an amazing guitar solo!!

This is a great song. It was my mom(rest her soul) favorite Bon Jovi . Song came out in 1992. My first concert was keep the Faith tour in 1993.

Bon Jovi is an excellent band but Jon Bon Jovi is one of the absolute BEST performers!!!

Think this is not long before he started losing the power in his voice. Brilliant performances and not the same band without Richie and Jon together 🙏🤘

Sadly Bon Jovi (The band) isnt the same since Richie Sambora (the original guitarist who has been in these videos) left. Its like the Rolling Stones without Keith Richards. The real heartbeat of this band though, is the drummer and also the oldest member Tico Torres, an outstanding drummer. On a recent tour of his kit it showed he has an oxygen cylinder and mask, to give him a pick me up, as he exerts that much during a show.

'Keep the faith' in 1992 was the Bon Jovi album that saved their career in the 90's in the face of grunge/ alternative rock... Bon Jovi were largely identified w/ the 80's 'big rock' or 'hair band' trend... and that genre was fast becoming obsolete after 1991. After Bon Jovi's 'New Jersey' tour ended in 1990 and Jon Bon Jovi found success w/ his solo album 'Blaze of Glory'... he decided that changes needed to be made. He fired manager Doc McGhee and was able to secure management under his supervision and finally brought the other 4 members of Bon Jovi back in the studio in 1992 from a hiatus to work on new music. Guitarist Richie Sambora was miffed that his 1991 solo album 'Stranger in this town'... did not get the same promotion as Jon Bon Jovi's 'Blaze of Glory' solo album... and that created some internal dissent. Rather than revisit the 80's rock sound, Bon Jovi embraced the 'basic rock' philosophy of 90's grunge rock... Bob Rock, producer of Metallica's megahit 'black' album in 1991, was enlisted (He had worked on previous Bon Jovi albums as well) and gave the band a makeover on the 'Keep the faith' album... Jon Bon Jovi made headlines when he appeared to promote the album after a haircut 😂 Despite Bon Jovi's past profile, 'Keep the faith' did encounter resistance in sales in late 1992... charting at #5 in the US (#1 hit in the UK) and 2x platinum sales (Their 'New Jersey' album charted #1 in the US and sold 7x platinum) ... Bon Jovi was one of the few 80's bands that saw themselves selling out arenas and stadiums on a massive world tour in 1993/ '94... and the album had 6 singles - 'Keep the faith'... 'Bed of roses'... 'In these arms' ... "I'll sleep when I'm dead" ... "I believe" ... and 'Dry county'... It was also the last album to feature (the late) bassist Alec John Such, who was fired in 1995. Bon Jovi celebrated their 10th anniversary w/ a best-of compilation 'Crossroad'... which had a massive hit ballad single 'Always'. Their next album 'These days' was released in 1995, charted at #9 in the US and still sold platinum, but is a rather mellow Bon Jovi record... The band went on hiatus yet again in 1997 and did not return until 2000 w/ a new sound and album 'Crush'.

*I'm sorry, but "( these Days )" is for sure no "rather mellow record". ⬅ Their 6th studio album, "( these Days)", produced by Peter Collins, Jon Bon Jovi and Richie Sambora, is praised by many critics and fans as their best album. It is overall a darker album in contrast to the band's usual brand of feel-good, inspiring rock songs and love ballads. At the time of release, the album was a huge commercial success, especially in the European and Asian markets. It became the band's 5th and fourth consecutive number 1 album in Australia and the United Kingdom. In the U.K., "( these Days )" replaced Michael Jackson's album "HIStory" at Number 1 on the UK Albums Chart and spent four consecutive weeks at Number 1. The album spawned four Top 10 singles on the UK Singles Chart, the band's highest number of Top 10 singles from one album in the UK. The high sales of the album in Europe warranted a re-issue of the album under the name of "(these Days)" Special Edition a year after its original release. The album was ranked number two on Q magazine's list of the "Top 50 albums of 1995". "(these Days)" was also voted the "Album Of The Year" in British magazine "Kerrang!" 's readers poll in 1995. In 2006, the album featured in the Classic Rock and Metal Hammer 's The "200 Greatest Albums of the 90s". In the U.S., despite selling 1 million copies and being certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), the album was not as successful as it was overseas and the album peaked at number nine on the Billboard 200.* ⬅🎸🔊😈🔥 🎵🎸🥁🎹🎸🎵💿🔊🔥🔥🔥

@@NicholasCorvin Man, u can spout all the accolades u want... 'These days' is indeed, a MELLOW record - there r only 4 rock songs on the record and 10 ballads... None of the songs on the record really had a lasting impact like 'Bed of roses'... or "It's my life"... and Bon Jovi hardly play any tracks live from 'These days'... Granted it was a commercial success, it was the Bon Jovi's lowest-selling record at the time.

This Song Is Great! Prefer The Studio Version Though, Apparently Bon Jovi Were Close To Spliiting Up? Before They Recorded The Keep The Faith Album? This Album Saved The Band, I Think That's Where The Title Of The Album Came From? You Should Check Out Dry County From This Album Its a Brilliant Song 👍👏🇮🇪🇮🇪🇮🇪

Ooh... one of my favorite songs, and not only is it awesome, but it's an interesting outlier in that it's the only song on its album (according to Wikipedia) that has Hugh McDonald (the bassist in this video) as the credited bassist. I say 'credited' because the rumor that he was the bass player in-studio all along is such, or Such (sorry, VERY obvious pun) that the website TV Tropes has it as _fact._ I've heard it as 'he was on one or two tracks on every album' to 'New Jersey and Keep the Faith were all him' but Alec John Such apparently was let go because he had trouble 'learning' bass lines, which makes me kinda steaming mad that they almost didn't induct Hugh into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame with the band. (The rumor goes that Jon went to the Hall and kinda-whispered into their ear, "He's been on every record from the beginning so WTF?")
