The drummer's name is Fumiya, and he's an absolute monster on drums. Fuki, the singer, is my favorite metal singer in Japan, male or female. She's quite prolific; in addition to Unlucky Morpheus, she has a solo career, occasionally takes part in a separate band called Doll$boxx (pronounced Doll's Box), and has been a guest for a handful of other artists. The violinist, Jill, has her own channel where she occasionally hosts live streams. Once she had a streams where she casually played through one of their entire albums. My last tidbit about Unlucky Morpheus is that one of the guitarists, Shiren, was one of the guitarists for the first appearance of Babymetal's backing band, the Kami Band. He only played one show with Babymetal and even then it was only two songs, but he has confirmed that it was him. Unfortunately, since 2016 he suffers from a condition called tenosynovitis. That's where the sheathes of your tendons become inflamed. Like most conditions, it's different for everyone, but Shiren has had to compensate since his diagnosis. The condition makes it difficult for him to hold a guitar, so he started playing headless guitars because they're lighter. You might see him playing a guitar on a stand, or you might see him doing vocals only (he's the growler). Fortunately for the band, Jill is a top-notch musician and can cover his guitar solos like she does here. For a suggestion, check out the official video for "Unending Sorceress."

Fumiya is indeed a monster on drums, but unlike almost every other drummer at his level (I'm looking at you, Mike), his playing never annoys me. His drum parts are so tasty, and even when he goes crazy, it always fits the song perfectly. The violin playing what's a guitar part on the album is an exception, other solos he doesn't play anymore are now played by Jinya. Thankfully, Shiren's been doing a lot better lately (and he said so in a 2022 interview), like he rarely used the stand in Evolution & Diversity Live. But of course, he can't do a gazillion projects at the same time anymore like he used to, and they introduced many tapping solos on recent albums (less straining than his older ultra-fast alternate picking solos). Evolution & Diversity is totally awesome, get the Blu-Ray if you can! Fuki sounds so great at this concert, simply amazing. I prefer her live singing to the records, on which the vocals tend to be overproduced, especially in "softer" songs. 誰が為に (taga tame ni) is a prime example. Sooo much more powerful live, it's crazy. How does she do that? 🤔

After going down the Japanese rock/metal rabbit hole this is one of the stellar metal bands from Japan. Jill is superb on the violin and the rest of the band is also very talented. There are a couple other Japanese bands I know with harsh vocals - Nemophila and Hanabie Many more Japanese rock/metal bands still left to discover. You know Lovebites, Band Maid and Aldious and now Unlucky Morpheus. Recommend - Unlucky Morpheus Cadaver / Revadac

Lulu did a solo reaction to Cadaver / Revadac!

Haha, the violinist (JILL) is a legit graduate of the best art/music university in Japan. She's even won violin competition. She has a perfect pitch.

I am so thrilled you folks enjoyed this recommendation. It looks like Lulu has enjoyed the other couple of songs, which she reacted to solo. I'm looking forward to your Angreifer reaction in particular - the song is a masterpiece!

they're very gothic on the lirical content usually also agreed with fumiya killed it He's a beast drummer period even fuki the singer had so energetic voice or ankimo the led guitar and growl vocals is great musissian too I mean you had to see "angreifer" live next to really hear his vocal growls range but to me Jill add something else on this band's sound with her violin that still mesmerized me though by the way hope lulu will be fine my best wishes to her recovery so soon whatever she went through.

Fiddle and violin are the same instrument. And fiddle is just the informal way to say violin. Totally fine to use either one.
@obud37776 ай бұрын
Fiddle is usually used in Folk music or in English speaking countries, Fiddle is an English word, while violin comes from the Italian language. They are the same instrument 🎻

For more all female Japanese violin rock, you need to check out the new band East of Eden. Begin with their first release, "Evolve (extended version)". Amazing band. Four videos released this far.

Watch Staind - Cycle of Hurting. Aaron Lewis does a 30 second scream in that one.

Some of these bands are really obscure. Try Kamelot "Sacramony" live. Featuring Elize Ryd from Amaranth and Alyssa-White Gluz from Arch Enemy.

If you want a very obscure and gothic vibe they should be listen to cradle of filth obviously to start with their most popular song "nymphetamine"

3 generations? You totally should watch My First World interview with IU. It was an interesting talk about female relationships and IU, her mother and grandmother. But yeah I don't know if your channel topic would add this
