This time it's unsoaked beans in the smaller personal milk makers Nutr and Arcmira.
Both did great, and I've used soaked soybeans in them as well. The important part is to 1) add milk ingredients first, then 2) add water, and DO NOT go over the max line!

I love my Arcmira soymilk from soaks soybeans. I also add a pinch of salt which I think adds to the flavor. I use a 1/4 Cup soaked beans and water to the max line. If I add more beans than this, it foams up through the little vent holes and is hard to clean out. I have added raw cacao nibs to make cocoa and it was delicious.

I finally had a successful batch of soy milk! Soaking is critical IMO. And I made a big batch in the MioMat and loved how it turned out (tho I’d make it thinner next time - my personal preference). Previously every time I tasted a “beany” (perhaps what you are calling green) taste - that just wasn’t usable/drinkable for me. HAPPY! (Tho I still love my almond milk and walnut milk better).

As a Cancer survivor, I don't do Soy. I want an Arcmira but I want to use it to make coconut and almond milk, maybe even hazelnut. I haven't seen any videos on YT with people trying something other than Soy.

I have a 20 ounce arcmira and just today received my new arcmira 35 ounce (for clarity: the 20 ounce really only makes about 15 ounces, once strained and the 35 ounce really only makes 28 ounces, strained). While I've made soymilk a couple of times (and i DON'T follow the recipe book because I don't like their ratios of nut to water), I've almost always made raw nut milks or seed milks. I make coconut milk, regularly, using 3/8 cup of coconut with water to the max line. I have generally run that on the warm cycle and then another raw cycle to get it as creamy as possible. But just today I was thinking that I really need to just soak the coconut in very warm water in the machine for about 30 minutes and then run the raw milk or warm milk cycle, once. I've also made cashew milk, almond/coconut milk, oat milk (not my fave when homemade), seed milk, etc. All on the raw milk cycle which is 5 minutes. It comes with a scoop, a cleaning brush and a good quality nut milk bag. I LOVE nut milk bagsand find them faster, easier and more effective than pushing the pulp through a fine strainer. I've never found a mesh strainer that's as fine as the ultra fine nut milk bag. Yes, for hot soy milk, you need to let it cool or just use silicone gloves. But that's not even an issue for you since you don't want soy milk. I love it and it is cheaper than the nutr (which is crazy since it makes even less than the small arcmira). But with the same counter footprint and just a bit more height, I recommend the 35 ounce one. Price is very similar (it is currently 79 on Amazon) and you can make a slightly larger batch but also the minimum is much lower than the 20 ounce model so you can also make a really small batch, if you need to.

The Arcmira is cheaper and my favorite: amzn.to/3K9iuud Right now there's a $10 off coupon that would make it $99 and the cheaper Nutr is $169: amzn.to/40XxRwi They both have the same functions, the Arcmira is a tad larger and makes slightly more milk. Both clean up the same. There are some new colors for both if that tips the scales 😉

If you haven't already gotten one, get the arcmira! And now they have a larger, 35 ounce model (which is about 28 ounces of milk, once strained) that looks really nice and, with the current coupon, is only 79 dollars! I have the smaller arcmira and love it but my larger one just arrived today!

@@Dreamysunshine23 oh yay! here is what I will say: don't use the warm setting for oat milk. Also: you will want to tweak the quantities. I use a little bit more nuts and seeds than the booklet calls for in the booklet for the small one. Inexplicably, the quantities listed in the booklet for the larger one are the same or slightly less. You will need more unless you want it really watery. You just will. Cashew milk and hemp seed milk and coconut milk need the least amount of prep. They don't really need soaking. Although, a quick 20-30 minute soak in warm water makes a better coconut milk, I think. Hemp seeds don't need to be soaked at all. Cashews can be soaked but don't really need to be for a good milk. If you have time to soak them for a short time in warm water, though, do it. Cashew milk will yield the least amount of pulp. Play with the quantity till it's the taste and texture you like. Use the nut milk bag and squeeze it like you are milking a cow, lol. That will get every last bit of nut milk out. Enjoy! Let me know if you have any questions. I've been making nut milk in a blend Tec for two decades. But I LOVE the convenience of having a dedicated machine. :) And it looks nice too!
