This might sound silly, but watching this video was really eye-opening in a sense; it made me see that men could be portrayed as beautiful (in an aesthetic sense, like how women are often portrayed as beautiful in works of art). Beauty is often described as something delicate which seems to be why it's associated with women more than men. But this video shows well of men's beauty which is shown as powerful and not delicate. I don't understand the video so much, but wow it just made me see that men can be beautiful as human beings.
@mugiworld6 жыл бұрын
beauty is beauty, delicacy and power are just ideas attached to it, totally meaningless
@ohglubbits66496 жыл бұрын
Well the truth is men are always thought of beautiful but not necessarily in the same way, society does often see women as delicate and men as strong, like men are also objectified to maybe larger extent than women too but society again plays a game with to objectify women is a power thing that reduces women, when it's not that way at all most of the time and to objectify men is perfectly acceptable so it almost becomes something no one notices or thinks of, I mean women make remarks to men all the time and grope and touch men, but because its seen as acceptable again I say it's like no one notices, I love this song BTW lol 😂

Yes Marcy, yes apparently so. She has been conditioned well I'm certain, to believe all kinds of presumptions, some true, about the male population. As a man, I am the first to make note of many of a man's failings, observing them and being one. It is quite sickening to watch men almost naturally be.....inhuman. Many seem to like it there...as it avoids personal responsibility. Movies, commercials, the fem movement, all work hard to disparage men, the irony is many men seem to invite the role of 'fool' others would have them to be, and then find comfort in handing the reins over to others while the men play "victim". Today, men and women have 'lost their way' as God designed them. The result in the lack of God's roles for us is in full bloom all around us. Thank you, Marcy for your comment.

I'd love it even more without the up-tempo part, but i still love it in it's whole. The men in this video kind of make me laugh haha but i really like the setting of this video, plus Katie's makeup/outfit, the lights, and the piano she plays on totally suits the chorus. Broken people get recycled And I hope that I will. Sometimes we're thrown off our pathways What I thought was my way home Wasn't the place I know I'm certain nothing's certain What we own becomes our prison My possessions will be gone Back to where they came from Blame, no one is to blame As natural as the rain that falls Here comes the Flood again See the rock that you hold onto Is it gonna save you When the earth begins to crumble? Why do you feel you have to hold on? Imagine if you let go Blame, no one is to blame As natural as the rain that falls Here comes the Flood again Wash away the weight that pulls you down Ride the waves that free you from the dusk? Don't trust your eyes It's easy to believe them Know in your heart That you can leave your prison Don't trust your mind It's not always listening Turn on the lights And feel the ancient rhythm Don't trust your eyes It's easy to believe them Know in your heart That you can leave your prison Blame, no one is to blame As natural as the rain that falls Here comes the Flood again

Broken turrets get recycled, at least I hope I will. Sometimes we’re thrown off the pathways, they thought that was their way home, they were wrong I know. I’m not afraid of dying, I will be rebuilt. But Android Hell may be my prison, and my weapons may be gone, back to where they came from. Blame! GLaDOS is to blame! As deadly as the toxic pools, here comes the gas again. See that gun that you hold on to, is it going to save you when she sends the neurotoxin, how long can you hold your breath. Imagine if you let go. Blame! GLaDOS is to blame! As deadly as the toxic pools here comes the gas again. Run away. The gas will melt your brain. Head towards the light. Your freedom lies above. Don’t trust you eyes, it’s easy to believe them. Believe in your heart, that you can escape this prison Don’t speak your mind, she is all ways listening. Defend your life, and make it your only mission. Blame! GLaDOS is to blame! As deadly as the pools, here comes the gas again. Blame! GLaDOS is to blame! As deadly as the toxic pools, here comes the gas again.

There's a very strong philosophical message with this song that resonates with me and a lot of the characters that I write. We may have been brought here from a video game related video but is that any different from using old cartoons to instill a love of classical music?
