Katie stayed in my AirBnb room several years ago when she performed in Elkin, NC. I went to her show and was floored by her passion. We sat on the screened porch and talked for hours afterward. She is the real deal and I wish her all the success she desires. Thanks for a great evening Katie! Trish in Lowgap, NC

Katie is the real deal. Knowing her whole family, I've watched Katie's talent grow and refine. She's an incredible singer, songwriter, and guitarist. Her sense of melody in chordings and solos is beyond her years. Her ability to write haunting lyrics and refrains is from that of a soul of thousands of years old. Keep it up Katie!

There were some spicy passing chords in the third verse of this version. I love that Katie doesn't just write a song and say it's done forever. Little tweaks can be heard in all of her sets. Amazing musician.

Out of the blue You must've come out of the blue No other color would do We watched the clouds move all around Uncovering feelings unfound And I can't imagine when I can't imagine why I'd ever wanna leave you dear If we stay right here we wouldn't have to worry about anything But the morning came and stole it Out of the blue Your eyes are full of yellows and greens They turn into water and fall from your cheeks Now we're going deep into the dark And it's hard to tell where we are And I can't imagine when I can't imagine why I'd ever wanna leave you dear If we stay right here we wouldn't have to worry about anything But the moment fades and so do you Out of the blue Ooh what a lovely day for loving you Ooh what a lovely day for loving you The sunset it bled orange and red In a perfect explosion behind your head While we're looking up somehow we forget That even the best days will end Now I can't remember when I can't remember why you packed your bags and left me here It's been a whole year since we said we'd never find somebody new Now I hardly ever talk to you But today I stopped and thought of you Out of the blue Out of the blue Out of the blue Out of the blue Out of the blue Out of the blue Out of the blue Out of the blue Out of the blue
