I've been a fan of Moonchild for years now, but what stood out the most was Amber's call to action. It was incredibly thoughtful and genuine, and I hope that it doesn't get lost in all of this outstanding music. Indeed, we should all strive to "spend our privilege" and I appreciate Amber using the privilege/platform of Tiny Desk to remind us all that not only do Black and Brown lives matter, but that there's a role we all can play in this movement, to whatever extent we are capable of. Thank you for the positive musical and social vibes, Moonchild.

I really appreciated how genuine it was. I'm just happy it was short so the political message doesn't get in the way of the music, which is what I came for. As someone who doesn't buy into identity politics and the oppressor vs oppressed or privileged vs underprivileged mindset (I really don't mind it that other people do btw, different beliefs, different opinions, it's all good), and just comes here for awesome music, I'm glad that she at least keeps it short :) and gets back to the music. That's just kinda cool to me, she spreads what she believes in but in a way someone who's from the opposite side can respect and to not take away too much for that person in terms of the entertainment they came for.
