When your fishing for weakfish what are you looking for on your fish finder or depth finder? I’m in South Jersey and going to try and catch some weakies. I haven’t seen many people reporting about weakfish being caught in S NJ. Is NY waters that much different from NJ waters to the point that we barely hold some small weakfish.
@JohnSkinnerFishing3 жыл бұрын
On the video you'll see the fishfinder loaded with streaks and marks near the bottom to however high the school is.
@sike1dj3 жыл бұрын
As a south jersey angler (Cape May), the weakfish hasn't been even remotely considered good in 2 decades. I'm having a bit of hope with these recent videos though. To answer the question though, NY has a lot more rock and structure around the coast, where we have mostly flat sand. I feel that has a lot to do with it. Take a look at long island sound on a depth chart compared to the Delaware bay. It's a whole different planet.
