No, even if it had been given it wouldn’t have changed the result because it didn’t hurt Taylor at all, and unlike in football, each following round is a clean slate; Taylor would’ve just put that round behind her and got on with the job. Also keep in mind, Taylor landed more clean punches overall, and 17 more power punches, than Cameron.

I agree it changes massively.It goes from a possible 20-17 to Cameron to 19-19 after 2 rounds. In a 10 round fight that is a massive head start. I haven't actually watched the fight back or particularly cared who won but at first glance it did look like a knockdown.

When you watch the video back watch the FEET. you can CLEARLY see Cameron put her foot either on Taylor's or very very close to the inside of Taylor's foot so that when Taylor goes to back away from Chantelle (when Cameron goes to punch/shove Taylor) Cameron's foot impedes Taylor's movement so that she falls off balance.

Not taking anything away from Taylor as her greatness is undeniable ,she probably just nicked it .....but really felt for Chantelle, poor girl had it all to do last night...... Them scores are shocking. Like the judge who scored 98-92 for Taylor they need investigating and firing ASAP. The fight was close 2 judges 1 had a draw 1 had Taylor by 2 rounds. With the knockdown it makes it a draw on 2 judges cards meaning a majority draw and Cameron keeping the titles. It was a knockdown it was a ram rod shot though Katie was off balance but still a knockdown and Cameron did well in the round. Taylor constant holding and use of her head not accidental but on purpose if you watch it back fully. Taylor did similar first fight. Camerons team pleaded before the fight for the ref and judges to watch the holding inside ad Cameron is brutal on the inside yet not even much warning during the fight or points deduction same with the head opening a gash which effected Cameron clearly. Taylor was gassed and lost all the last 3 rounds and if it was 12x3 min rounds which it should have been like Amanda Serano recently did then Taylor would have been stopped or knocked out at best losing by a few rounds atleast. Taylor gassed bad in the fight she was dead on her feet the last 3 to 4 rounds. Hearn promotes both he made sure everything was in Taylors favour. The way he celebrated when he's meant to be neutral was disgusting. Cameron needs to get out of her contract or buy herself out of it and go elsewhere. Taylor should never had any rematch with home advantage again she lost her first homecoming pretty badly. It should have been Camerons homecoming. Now Taylor wants yet again home advantage at Croke Park Ireland. 80,000. It can sell out at a huge stadium in England or a neutral country even Saudi. But England it should be. If they put other top women on the card along with some top guys and world titles on the line it can fill a stadium in England with just as many if not more than croke Park. But won't happen its the Hearn and Katie Taylor show.

Bivol could beat Canelo 10 times and the fights will always be in Las Vegas. Because Canelo is the star. Katie is the star. It is always wherever Katie says. Thats how it works. The star is the A side. Now secondly. The fight is NOT A DRAW if the knockdown is counted. The score cards were 96-94. The knockdown simply makes the knockdown round a 10-8 for Cameron instead of a 10-9. Which takes a point from Katie. Making the scores 95-94. To reiterate basic maths. On those Judges cards Katie won 6-4 in terms of rounds. Thats 96-94. But Cameron won one of the rounds 10-8 not 10-9. So its 95-94 to Katie. And those scores are way to close of you know how to judge Boxing. Katie won clear. Even if the knockdown counted it doesn’t make a difference to the outcome of the fight on the cards. Katie just wins by 1 point instead of 2. You need to learn how scorecards work. Your whole essay was irrelevant. No offence.

I had the fight 96-94 Taylor. However, it was a knockdown and Katie should have been docked at least 1 point. Katie was holding excessively. I thought she had been receiving lessons from Wladimir Klitschko at one point. Every time Chantelle came forward, Katie grabbed hold and held on for dear life.

Jamie was looking for a decision problem before the fight as he commented in an interview. And his shouting at ref and Chantelle’s moaning just continued it. I just don’t understand. The knockdown? Possible wrong. But she evaded the jab and countered with fast combinations. She held sometimes, but not excessive. It’s part of the game. Fury does it. When it’s linked with the fast combination punching it’s simply just part of the game. Head clashes happen, and they both did hit accidentally. This wasn’t robbery at all. Taylor won simply like Cameron won the first time. This time Katie turned back the clock back and used all her experience. She outboxed Cameron and took away her asset from the first fight. Thought Katie won by a couple rounds. She was very good for 5/6 rounds. Negated Cameron's jab and then started using it against her with counters. She got ragged in the final third of the fight but between the holding and some decent inside work, she managed to keep her nose ahead. It looker a KD in the first but Cameron should be looking at her own and her corner's inability to adjust/find a plan B rather than moaning.

I had Taylor squeaking it out. In terms of your point about incorrect knockdown calls influencing the fight, totally agree. One that gets overlooked is the Parker-Whyte fight where Parker was dropped by a headbutt in Round 2. The ref incorrectly scored it a legit knockdown. It was at the end of a round, in which Parker had comfortably outboxed Whyte so what should have been recorded as a 10-9 Parker round was, ultimately, scored 10-8 Whyte. A 3 point swing. The offical scorecards were 115-110, 114-111 and 113-112 Whyte. A correct ruling on the Round 2 'knockdown' would have resulted in a draw. 115-110 becomes 114-112 Whyte, 113-112 becomes 114-112 Parker and 114-111 becomes 113-113.

When your fighting with that style on your toes bouncing in and out sometimes you lose balance and that’s what’s happened. Absolute disgrace that wasn’t a knockdown.

With the KD I can see it anywhere from 95-94 Cameron to 96-93 Taylor, but as you say if the KD was called I think we would've seen a different fight. Quite a messy fight though with a lot of clinching, I struggled to score it.

Looked a knockdown which would have made it a draw for me and she should have maybe had a point off for holding - but Katie really is a HoF fighter, so many incredible fights and performances of a champion. Irish fans are another level, not sure why we think our fans are the best...we drink a Carling then sing Sweet Caroline once or twice. After 5 rounds i had katie clearly winning maybe losing 1 off them chantelle were chasing thereafter and did put pressure on in the later rounds but katie still defo won 3 off yhe last 5 ...she startrx quick and chantrlle coukdnt cope with her speed and movement when backed up to the ropes ...chantrlle showed great heart and determination and i think a trilogy to settle it once and for all ...chantelle clearly won the first katie clearly the second ..the winners us the fans if they have a third ....both women should hold there heads up proud ...two absolute cracking fights...number 3 please

Close fight, but Katie's tactics and execution were spot-on, it all just clicked. Cameron by comparison looked lost, ploddy and a bit desperate at times. Would love to see Taylor retire now tbh, there's nothing else for her to achieve, and her style will suffer quickly once she starts to slow down a touch.
