I can't tell you how much I needed this video as a newer creator! When you mentioned that no one talks about how hard it is to take a break & stop doing the thing you're seeing success from, I was like YES!!! That's exactly what I've struggled with. Thanks for making this video.

Omg Katie, this video is God-sent. I have only started getting serious about content creation for the past month or two and already I feel myself starting to lose momentum (the first sign of a path to burnout for me). Prioritising rest and self care has been super hard for me all my life, and you've not only reminded me of the relevance it has in business but you have also given me tangible steps and ideas for how I can actually implement it into my days.

so glad to hear this is what you need ❤️ it's so important to prioritize rest!

The right video at the totally right moment! Katie, thank you for inspiration. I'm literally drawn in a bit of procrastination and bit of burn-out on my KZbin, also tired of listening others advice what I should do or not on my channel. And I've tried to film videos but never finished several projects. Have lots of ideas but every time I start thinking that it's nothings and nobody will watch. I also tried to find a niche. And you inspired me to talk more honestly on the sam topics. Oh how I feel as a creator. What it's like to be a blogger (even a small one. What it's like to be an immigrant and not so lucky as many may see on Instagram. Thank you from the bottom of my heart! Always a good portion of inspo love, Irene 🌼

Irene - thank you!!! I'm so glad this video was helpful for you, it can feel so discouraging and it's hard to keep posting when it feels like no one's watching. that's why we all need a break sometimes so you can gain up the energy to keep going ❤

thank you for spreading the great message about the importance of slowing down! I am myself a huge healthy productivity advocate and love seeing other people (especially successful creators) talking about how important it is to go easy on oneself and take time for rest. I recently made a video experiment about lowering screen time which can be another great way of slowing down and even gaining space for things we usually have "no time" for 🤭 but overall it is a very refreshing experience !
@katie Жыл бұрын
oh I totally need to get more serious about my screen time limits - I always just hit "ignore" when they come up but I know I'd be happier if I spent less time scrolling

Oooh I was so excited to see my friend Molly's face pop up in your video! I loved the interview on your podcast. Also this video came at a great time. I officially burnt out of my teacher job in February and I've been at home, trying to heal but it's been hard. I've still been working on my KZbin channel and social media and the part where you said 'when you see the growth, you want to keep doing more of the work to grow further' that's exactly where I'm at right now. Thanks so much for this 💖

Thanks for sharing your routine and anti-burnout tips! It's really helpful! This video definitely came out at the right time!! I started to feel bits of burn out sneaking into my life and I knew I needed to get that in check before it completely derailed me and here is this lovely video that I relate to so hardcore! My goal is to be able to quit my full time job so I don't constantly feel like I'm "drowning" or rushing from one task to the next so I was trying to post as many videos as I could which worked out fine for the first two months but really started to hit me hard this past month. I've significantly cut back on my posting plan to give my creative muscles time to recharge and this weekend I am forcing myself to go ice skating which I LOVE but haven't done in over a year cuz I keep telling myself I don't have time for that! If it's something that I love and brings me joy, then I need to make time for it. Plus, I didn't spend over $100 on ice skates to only use them twice lol

Your vlog editing proccess is not like mine - I just sort all my footage by time and date (I often switch cameras so it's from mulitple sources), whack it all on the time line in chronological order and go from there. Luckilly for me, my style suits this approach and I rarely film anything out of order at all.
