Life with one million subscribers would look like making large craft/art projects for KZbin, explaining my steps as I do them, and having fun being creative while sharing inspiration with my followers. I would love to post to KZbin once a week, but the crafts I do take a loooong time so that does seem a bit ambitious. I also love doing chaotic things on camera, like baking really terribly lol. I would want my subscribers to have fun watching my videos and to also be inspired to make their own things as well

Hi Katie! I just found you and I truly feel like you are blessing at the right time in my life. I love crafting DIYs cooking photography, and mainly my family. I thought it would be amazing to share our new adventure about camping in a travel trailer for the first time. Tips, DIYs, cooking, campground reviews, adventures, dog tips as we have a fur baby, and all our successes and failures as brand new camping adventures. My dram life is me sharing how to videos for others to help them along thier journey and even fun crafts to do with the kids and by ourselves. I know it’s a lot as I keep getting told I need to focus on one thing. I’m just not sure yet what that is. But, watching your videos is truly helping focus on this dream.’

Katie love your approach and high value that you share. You know what's funny to me, there are creators who have huge following and super flashy production and sets but your (seemingly) simple approach offers even more value, is more relatable and intimate. Pretty cool. Learning a lot over here. And one other thing, you make it look possible for anyone with enough willingness to do the work and be patient, they too can create a profitable, rewarding business using social media.

Stunningly good advice. Down to earth, real and sincere. I love what you said about creating content for your audience as opposed to a niche....or at least a niche that comes as a result of a process of elimination rather than a clear direction of intent. Yes, there can be overlap, but in core message you give is clear. I can already feel myself relaxing as I think about what it is I want to really do if i had a million subs. Thanks for this Katie!

@katie would love to see a video where you can share with us specifically how to create a relational audience. The points, steps, mindset and format of how to translate this into a video. I think that would be a big hit for you and a huge benefit for us. Cheers!

I was joking with my baby sister as I was taking her to school. We were getting McDonald’s for breakfast and I said if we were famous we couldn’t do this. Then played on it more pretending I was famous and saying hey hey I’m just like you no need to treat me differently when they see my name come up with the order lol 😂 so I really loved the thought exercise of subscriber number. How would the best version of yourself behave each day? How would you interact with each person you meet? Why don’t you act like that now?

Thank you, Katie, this is a very helpful video! As a starting creator, I am really happy I have discovered your channel! I have a question to whoever reads this and maybe happens to be in my niche :) I am wondering about the "offer" in my "niche" ( fashion in the movies, fashion history, trends review ), from what I see on other channels - they mostly have a newsletter and maybe Patreon and that's about it. I wonder what kind of digital product I could create (as I would love to do this on some point when my channel is bigger) in that niche?

I am a Canadian girl and have no social media experience. I am learning and u r a huge help! Thank you. Starting from literal scratch. I have a large vintage clothing eBay store and want to use social to drive business. I have a million content ideas - and a VERY different approach - I found a Gap that I am going to fill! It’s definitely a little disruptive! Do you find it more difficult as a Canadian to do what you do? Eg Tik tok does not monetize Canadians. I am absolutely convinced that with your help - I will do this! I am in BC btw. Hope to hear from you.

Thank you so much… This idea is “freeing”. Instead of trying to fall into what the crowd wants, (example: “Living full time in an RV”) I have the freedom to post any content related to being a senior. It also leads to a “no burnout” or “I’m stuck for ideas” block. I may change my KZbin name after this…lol… (From Sue in Orangeville, ON… CounselorSue - creativity & Living life)

I envision myself creating a community where we all enjoy self care practices, teaching our children good character, and becoming the best versions of ourselves together. I LOVE your idea of what is your audience vs what is your niche. That’s a much better way to think of it although my biggest problem is that for some reason I’m not attracting yet the audience that I want… 😢 Ok l had to comment before continuing the video.

If I was at 1 million subscribers... I would create content around my life as a painter/professional artist, highs/lows, why I paint what I paint, sharing mostly "paint with me" video tutorials, but also juggling life as a homeschooling mom and the rewards that brings as I show my children to always go for their dreams. All while being able to use my art as a way to help children in need around the world. Maybe even being able to share travel snippets as you do... (And if possible my channel would feel something like a female/American version of Alpay Efe's channel.

audience + offer + content = profitable creator business ok ,so... to be a bit cynical other peoples time + convincing them to give you their money too + marketing and addition = money out of others wallets, into corporations wallets, and a pittance kicked back to you my question is... what is a way to make this process ethical? not only does the process have to be ethical... but the product has to be ethical.

Hey Katie, I just found your channel. Looking at becoming a creator myself, and I LOVE your content!! There is something I'm confused about, however, and I hope you can clear it up. AdSense. If I have a CPM of $1 (easy math), is that $1 per 1,000 VIDEO views, or 1,000 AD views? If 1,000 folks watch my video, do I get $1, or if 1,000 folks watch all 5 no-skippable ads inside my video, do I get $5? Thank you for any advice you can share.
