Great story, and I am happy to see you are satisfied. Being a KZbinr is very similar to running your own business. You should upload things people want to see, just like businessman should offer product/service that people need. And when the growth becomes real, you can consider hiring people to help you run your channel more efficiently. The most difficult part is starting and growing of course, but consistency and hard work (with a little bit of help from Fame -ster of course) will always pay off at the end.

Why does no one ever just acknowledge that growing on KZbin requires all the things you mentioned AND luck? I've been doing all the things/working on growing my channel, with all my energy and passion, for several years now, and honestly, I feel like it comes down to luck for most people. Right video, right time... Does anyone else agree? Obvs once you do actually grow, being good at what you do and being consistent are going to be the things that sustain you and keep your growth going. But actually growing a little in the first place.... I dunno, I think you have to be really lucky.

I agree with you! I was posting consistent videos on KZbin for years and years before I finally made one that clicked with the algorithm (I started my channel in 2011 and only passed 10K subs in 2019). there's definitely a lot of ~right place, right time~ required, but I feel like it's demoralizing to focus on that. It's better to focus on the aspects that you can control rather than saying "it's luck" and giving up. Or at least, I'm really glad I didn't do that

@@katieI have to add that one of the best pieces of advice you’ve ever given on this channel for ‘lifestyle vloggers’ is that unless you have a large and committed community on IG - no one cares about *you* yet and your vlog views will reflect that. Even if it’s a vlog about a day in your life it has to give value to the viewer, entertain or improve their life / share your knowledge with them in some way. And I find a lot of lifestyle vloggers really go wrong there. I share that advice with everyone and link to those specific videos you did on that topic, I found that really helpful.

@@katie it’s actually super encouraging to me to hear that you worked for that long before you grew. There’s so many creators that grew super fast and give their advice and it just makes me bummed out lololol I agree we shouldn’t focus on that part, but it truly truly makes me feel better to hear that part of your story, so I appreciate you sharing that. Thank you!

I started my creator thing about a month ago...I was doing gig courier work...but the company suddenly wanted drivers to let the app mess with the phones battery system. My cue it's time to make my channel more than a hobby. My channel mission is assisting grieving people to get past it, through technology! I plan to add more topics, maybe a 2nd channel. ❤❤❤ I have a van too! Gonna make it a mobile studio!

I finally broke through last week. My first video popped off. My second video is a 1/10, and will be next. My third is a banger too. I think monetization is lagging behind but I should be monetized like tomorrow or this afternoon. It really is just consistency and understand what unique point of view you have to offer. Then finding out how to package that to the right audience

Your example of the audience persona was *super* helpful for me. I've never been able to define who my target audience is... until now. Here it is: People in their 20s-30s that want to make art and creative endeavours a part of their daily life. They like to think deeply about the concept behind the artwork, but they also want art to be a fun thing their life. The stuffy pretentiousness of the art world is something they despise, and so they turn to KZbin and my channel for a more laid-back, honest and fun approach to art-making. They may be hobbyists but they cherish their personal time. They will often visit new exhibits, and may even handcraft their own gifts for loved ones. Whatcha think??

Hiya gorgeous, I started KZbin about 6 months ago and wow what a eye opener 😳 to how much fun it is, hard work and dedication to detail it is! I now appreciate people on youtube that I follow so much more than before as now I realise the hard work that goes into filming, editing, thinking of fresh content and trying not to subconsciously copy others and come up with your own video ideas. Im still only small in the beauty world but I've already got a small following and have been told they like my videos and ask where I am if I miss a upload as they like my videos so much, which is awesome! I never expected that to even happen!? So I will keep going and see what happens along the way. I'm happy I've made friends already in the makeup community. 😊 ❤ Take care everyone and keep going! love Kazzaroo ~x~

This Video was really motivating! I thought about giving up on my channel a few times this year because the numbers just aren’t growing as I would like them to grow. I have been doing KZbin for over 4 years now and sometimes it gets really frustrating to put so much work into your videos and still feel stagnant. But luckily I pushed through and I am so motivated for the new year! I talked about my thoughts on KZbin growth in my latest video and that really helped me to figure out how I am feeling about my channel and creating videos. I truly feel like 2024 will be a great year. To all the other small creators: we can do it! Keep on creating and more importantly have fun while creating and I am sure we all will see progress!

What do you mean by primary focus? Do you mean that you are relying solely on your channel for an income? If so why??? You couldn't get monetized in two years and you have just 12 videos on your channel. If you had ads on your videos over the life of your channel you would have made around $30 per year on average so far. You have 50,000 channel views over two years. You need 50,000 video views per hour for this to be a realistic endeavour.

Quick question: I buy most of my channel items from Amazon( particularly tarot and Oracle decks along with the decore for my videos). I would like to do the affiliate link , so my viewers can find the decks &/or decorations they may be interested in . Do you need to apply with Amazon first or do you just add the links in the description box? I don't know if you already have a video on this, but if not, would it be possible to do a "how to" video on doing affiliate links & how to include them in the description box? I would love help on that!! This video was extremely helpful, so thank you for this!! I plan to really buckle down even more in 2024 , structure my time better to be much more consistent for my viewers & focus on making KZbin a full time job if I can~ & will use all the tips you have suggested!! Best video I have seen in a long time on channel growth AND building a solid engaging community as well!!🤘💖
