You hit the nail on the head! We are just too complex to truly portray our full selves online. It’s encouraging to hear and helps put it into perspective. We don’t have to give up sharing parts of & we don’t have to bear the pressure of trying to convey all of us at once. 🎉

Katie your video today was so helpful. It's great that we can learn from your experience about being a content creator. I've had a channel for a year now and it's been slow going but I'm in it to win. I have gotten a clearer understanding on how to build my channel from watching your videos. I've learned to spend more time planning. Which for me can seem counter intuitive. I tend to want to rush in and do, do, do. My Niche is hosting special occasions, holidays, everyday meals. Seasonal and holiday home decor. Working with food I'm learning how taking my time to plan and prep makes my recording more fruitful and efficient. Anyway, I really enjoy your videos.

Ahhh!!! Fantastic video, topic, and tips! Yes, I am a(n) (aspiring) content creator and, yes, I want the freedom that comes from me "being my own niche." But I admit that has led to slow growth and at times, negative growth, I suspect when people don't consistently get what they thought they were going to from being super niched in one area. So I will be watching this at LEAST 3 more times, taking notes, and implementing your strategies. Thank you, Katie!

Hi Katie, I click on your channel because you have "straight to the point" simple thumbnails, that's my kinda thing, easy to see who it is and what they are going to tell me. Then, I watch your videos because your information is valuable to what I want to know, it appears honest, straight forward, to the point without a lot of yakking of irrelevant content and you speak at a normal to faster pace and don't appear to be dragging it on just to get me to listen longer. I'm 60, don't have a long attention span or time to waste on a lot of personal info that is not relevant to the point. KUDDOS TO YOU! I LIKE YOUR STYLE. And that is why I binge watch your videos:)🥰

My partner and I created this channel to make original lofi music, but I think the community would benefit a lot more from education in that area. Your tips on reframing content from a you perspective are feeling really relevant and applicable! I want my art channel to reach people but it's tough not to make every video say like "I made this.
