What a magnificent woman! I never saw this interview with Katie Couric- What a brilliant mind Mrs Obama has! No trite, cookie-cutter answers or platitudes à la most public figures. Mrs Obama's answers were thoughtful, sincere, genuine, insightful, inspiring and uniquely and authentically hers. She's superb!

@tayottt. Agreed. My vote is for Michelle. She would make a fantastic senator, vice-president, secretary of state, or president.

Katie came equipped with "ready-made" questions and probably thought she would get the expected answers. I bet she realized that she was dealing with not an African American first lady, rather she was dealing with a highly educated, experienced, and a transformational female leader. I was disappointed to see Katie asking some questions that expressed subtle disrespect towards Michelle Obama. For example, when Katie suggested Michelle to "may be you should write a cookbook?" Katie, maybe you should take some advance inter-communication, and effective interviewing skills classes. I totally agree with Michelle Obama how role Models are people who are reachable and touch your lives not celebrities. For this reason mentoring and networking goes hand-in-hand!!!

This interview is a great foil to Katie's interview with Sarah Palin. We see in Michelle an educated progressive women that is fully in touch with the problems Americans are facing. We also see someone who is very logical and capable of presenting practical solutions to those problems. Is it wrong that I kind of want Michelle to go the Hillary route and break into politics?

I'm back here because I'm really trying to understand what early footage of Mrs. Obama was Viola studying for her character traits/mannerisms used for her portrayal in The First Lady. I love Viola...but she missed the mark. So overdone and exaggerated. You can't nail them all...was really hopefully. Maybe it will get better as the series progresses. ❤️

Katie Couric never asked Sarah Palin any weight questions either. Katie asked her about the same general questions that she did Sarah. What is your role, etc? First Lady's don't usually get drilled on the Constitution since they are not going to make policy.

Oregon State University Athletic Director Bob DeCarolis was considering firing their basketball coach, Craig Robinson, after an 8-11 start (2-5 in the Pac 10 conference). When word of this reached Washington , Undersecretary of Education Martha Kanter was dispatched to Corvallis with $17 million in stimulus money for the university. Craig Robinson’s job is safe for this year. For those of you unfamiliar with Coach Robinson, he just so happens to be Michelle Obama’s brother.

I wouldn't even talk with a man about fashion and cosmentics: women of all races all over the world like to plaý with different looks and colors. And men enjoy it. :-)) I find it very strange if a man wants to discuss such issues with women.... Except he is a gay hairdressers, of course .... :-))

Okay, thanks for calling me names. So, I read your stuff on their. Let me be kind in saying, you're the radical. Those materials are massive opinion pieces followed with conspiracy theories. Should you wish to provide empirical evidence beyond these pieces which offer no tangible evidence for their claims, just broad based generalizations, let me know. Good luck to you in life, you're going to need it.

I know this is not really the place but what's with the black people's attempts to straighten their hair? I mean, it's their hair and they do what they want to it, but it almost seems it is WRONG for them to wear their natural hair. And that, I think, is kinda disturbing. I saw a black girl recently wearing her natural hair and I found it so stylish, lol. I'm a guy, but I kinda understand it takes a lot of work to straighten your hair, right?
