I actually read 6 books this month and I'm so happy for myself. I did a 24 hour reading challenge and because of it I finished The clockwork prince in one sitting and I also read the sprite and the gardener, and you were so right its art is absolutely adorable.

I finished Clockwork Princess & had basically the same reaction as you did to Chain of Thorns 😂 I had the biggest book hangover ever. I was planning on going right into The Last Hours but couldn’t after the last chapter & epilogue of Clockwork Princess, which I ill advisedly left to read by themselves after spreading the book out because I just couldn’t take the emotional toll while binging it 😂😭 But yeah. I’m sort of reading David Copperfield this month & also planned on reading Great Expectations, so I think I may just do that before diving into Chain of Gold 😅. Can’t wait for the angst & the connections between the books! ❤

My favorite books I read in Feb were Emily Wilde's Encyclopedia of Faeries, and The Night Circus! My least favorite.. was Six Crimson Cranes that I read for the book club 😅. sadly I was pretty bored and I had a trope I really get annoyed by so it was an uphill battle for me to like it.

I read The Tea Dragon Society in February!! I love the art in it it’s so cute, I’m about to go get the next two in the series from the library 😊I also read volume one and two of a manga called Demon Diary, its interesting and I like the art in it. Those were my favorite reads and my least favorite was Piranesi by Susanna Clarke. The writing was so weird and repetitive and it’s a fantasy but like 2% of it was fantasy.

I’m halfway through Great Expectations and definitely enjoying it. Last month I also read A Tale of Two Cities and really enjoyed it. Which was a huge relief - my intro to Dickens was Oliver Twist and A Christmas Carol as a kid and I loved those books. I then hated Dickens after tackling Hard Times and Bleak House at uni, and relieving to have now found several more Dickens stories that I would happily reread in ATTC and Great Expectations. Knowing they inspired The Infernal Devices and The Last Hours series by CC, I was curious to read them even though I hadn’t recovered from the tedium and depression of Hard Times and Bleak House. I’m also enjoying Spy x family at present, so when finished that, I might have to give Lore Olympus a go…

February novel reads were Legends & Lattes, House of Salt and Sorrows, The Mortal Instruments Book 1, Six Crimson Cranes, still reading City of Glass, and Ranger's Apprentice: Ruins of Gorland. February manga/graphic novels were Spy X Family 5-8, Tokyo Mew Mew 2-7, The Girl from the Other Side 3-6, and Heartstopper 1-4. Since reading The Six Crimson Cranes for the book club I picked up The Dragon's Promise from the library and I'm enjoying the 2nd book more because there is more action and explanations with the story. I totally forgot how slow the first book of City of Bones book was but I was able to finish it and City of Glass helped me realize it was worth getting through it. I read the first book of Ranger's Apprentice in the hopes to try the rest of the series but the pace was so slow that I almost went into a readers slump but I liked the characters in the story but I won't be able to read the rest of the series. Has always a nice cozy video.
