Just a note on the ink side of things, the problem with non brand ink is lightfastness. So just be sure you do a lightfast test to ensure the non brand won't fade significantly. :)

Thanks so much Hayley, I had another comment about this too! I'm currently debating whether to return the inks before I open them so I can get a full refund, just for peace of mind that the prints won't fade for my customers down the line! Thanks for letting me know 😊

Hehe, I remember commenting on your dressing gown on one of the first vlogs of yours that I saw. That's interesting about the greeting card designs...how did you go about getting into that? It's something I've thought about trying to do.

Hahaha it's my identity 🤣 It actually came through Instagram as I was approached on there! It's something I'd like to expand so possible getting in touch with other agencies would be a good start too!

printer ink costs more then diamonds lol so if you can use ch4eaper ink, def do it!

It really does 😅 I need to do some tests on the lightfastness of the cheaper ink so I've bought some Canon ones in the meantime and oof - the price!!

Lovely vlog, I really appreciate your art! Just a warning, I have had an issue with third party inks for my printer and art prints. Each time I bought original inks I was called and asked to try the house brand inks, after many times and being assured it was the same quality, the same method of testing etc. I tried them and the quality of print was the same. My printer also accepted it fine, but after a few months my prints faded immensely! It resulted in me having to resend over 40 patreon prints that had faded within months. I was using high quality Hahnemuhle inkjet art print paper with them (the inks own house brand photo paper seemed a bit more stable). So please test your prints if you mean to send them out 🙏

@@KatieMoody I am using a Canon IX6850. Hopefully other third party brands don't have the same fate, but it's a good idea to test them yes! 😄
