In My Life (The Beatles Cover) in the style of Madison Cunningham. Two Liverpool musicians playing a John Lennon and Paul McCartney classic! We loved playing this to lift our lockdown blues.
Don't miss ‘Cabin Fever’ on my channel now - the latest music video and song produced by Katie Nicholas (also featuring Michael Kountis on guitar): katienicholas....

Wow! Kate's voice is so beautiful. But don't forget Michael. He did his own version of the harmony that the Beatlee didn't do on the record. And the instrumental solo was just wonderful. They blended so perfectly. Thanks. 💕🍷

You've done justice to a beautiful song. Why do I say that? Because your playing, vocals , and harmony are impeccable. And you both put all your energies into making good music, not flaunting yourselves just to put on a show and bring attention to yourselves. Thank you.

Had me crying by bar 8, such emotion and a lovely version. You both have lovely voices, and did the harmonies really well. Also, kudos for the George Martin solo - for a lot of versions I hear done, and when I play it, the basic intro riff is done a couple of times (thinking, that'll do :-D)! I'm 50 now, and I heard a cover of this song for a film at the cinema when I was about 18... This got me interested in this amazing song and who did it... and from that moment I was hooked on the Beatles. Got all their albums, bought song books, joined one of their (many) fan clubs, tried to learn to play their songs on piano and guitar.. Their influence on, not just me, but the whole of modern music probably can't be fathomed!

Nice. I'd just listened to the original version too. Both made me cry. It's always risky covering a Beatles', or any song so lovely and engrained in peoples' minds, but you guys did it very well, nice middle eight, and nice ending which made it a little better too.

I have lived a rough life from a very young age , even my mother has told me this , in & out of hospitals because of a birth defect that I have in my feet , my life decisions , not all bad tho just took to big of a risk & had a poor outcome , people letting me down , yea that happens in all of are lives people will walk in & walk out some for no reasons at all we all just grow apart somehow , it happens , but this song now that I,m in my 50s means more to me now than it did way back in my 20s , people & places & things change some for good & not for better & I do often stop & think about them & in my life I loved them all , now just memories & I don’t take pictures or didn’t take pictures of them , they are now locked in my mind & my heart forever , that’s where I keep them .

Your absolutely right , tomorrow is never promised so you have to live for today & you can take time in your life to reflect on the people , places & things that came in & out of your life & stop to think about them & the ( what if this happened moments ) sometimes when I think about them my Heart get happy & sometimes my heart get heavy & sad , it all about life & all of the things your going to go through , some good & some bad , my mom use to say in life you have to take the good with the bad , she has given me very good advice .

This was the first time John finally put away the silly, childish lyrics and wrote something profound and insightful. And he never looked back. A beautiful, musically revolutionary song.

Hmm. John never wrote anything childish. He had incredible insight and was extremely clever in his songwriting, even in ALL the early stuff.

@@BeatlesCentricUniverse Nah, John wrote his share of "love me do" type lyrics in the early years. Bob Dylan even told him at one point, "oh, I see you're not writing silly lyrics anymore."

@@Dana-wq5tp With all due respect, I completely disagree with your interpretation of Lennon's early songs. If anything, his early songs are proof of his emerging songwriting sophistication both musically and lyrically.

Excellent, you made this 68-year-old smile in a world that has lost its way! The Beatles still shine in bad times, just like they did for us after the assassination of Pres. JFK, MLK, Robert Kennedy, Malcom X, and many great Americans that wanted Peace and change for a better world. Beautiful sound and song that you did justice to, Thanks so much for the smiles, warm sounds and feel, something needed in this backwards declining clown show called the u.s., FACT!!!

0:36 wrong chord. But I can't fault you, most musicians go to that chord (transposition aside) ..those who get it right, have the gold ear, cause it simply would sound better.
