Love the finish of that paint! Do you think the alkyd satin enamel would work on metal furniture? I have a large flat file (like architectures use, or for map storage) and I've been looking for a good paint to use to change the color on it.

Another great job, Katie. You and I have something in common. I find I can do some good work in the middle of the night. I'm a second-generation insomniac, and the first thing mom told me when we figured out I had it was to never stay in bed and toss and turn. Get up and do something constructive. It's worked for years. But - back to your project. I think it turned out very nicely. I noticed that you moved the top drawer back to its proper position in the rank. This is a perfect dresser for a pre-teener. A very nice save.

I usually use a gravity fed HVLP pneumatic gun but if you need an electric option o like the Wagner FLEXIO line. They’ll never get as fine of a finish as a pneumatic gun but with some practice you can get pretty close.

A question i just thought of, how do you redo a dresser, headboard, and drawers with lots of embellishments, like wood that is curly and decorative. I got mine from my mom, they bought it in 1950's and it's solid wood. I hate trying to dust them because I have to use a toothbrush to get inside the wood pieces. I wanted to cut them off but I don't know if I can. What to do?
