13.5 POUND TEAM SEAFOOD CHALLENGE ft. Randy Santel

Teaming up with @RandySantel to take on a MASSIVE 13.5 pound seafood platter at the Fat Mermaid in Valdez, Alaska. This was the second stop of our 5 restaurant Alaska tour. The challenge consisted of king crab, fish tacos, vegan tacos, fried calamari, shrimp, onion rings, fish sandwiches, seafood chowder, salmon pizza, and all sorts of other delights! This was a blast to film and the crowd was awesome!

@@KatinaEatsKilos Randy said he had never heard of Nut Taco's. Many years ago if you went looking for a Hot vegetarian meal it would be Lentils or Chick Peas in a sauce. If you were lucky you could find Nut Meatloaf. Because they tried to keep normal meals available and just replaced the Meat with Nuts of all sorts. Nuts actually have more Protein (Ounce for Ounce) than Beef Steak.

I did a couple backpacking trips through Alaska and it remains one of my favorite places on earth! Seriously, I would move there if I could. Moose and caribou are delicious by the way. If you get the chance try some of the game sausage they make out of it. Have fun, and don't get eaten by bears!

Everything on that platter looked delicious and fresh! Great variety too and creativity too! If I ever travel up there.. I'm going to this place if they are still open God willing! I have learned about a lot of places because of Randy, Katina and others that do these crazy food challenges etc. Actually went to several because of learning about them from these videos, and in fact.. I cannot think of any that weren't good. Most were excellent! I think you guys are doing a great job helping to promote these wonderful restaurants, and their hard working owners and dedicated staff. Support your local businesses and restaurants as much as you can. I think they need it more than ever right now. I would not like to live in a world without small family owned businesses and amazing food cooked by passionate people. Like.. That guy talking in the background about the salmon pizza and the cheese base. No Blue Cheese! Amazing! 💙

Great job guys. Little over an hour is still impressive for that spread. I love Katina's videos and she can def hold her own but kinda nice seeing these with Randy too. New fan of his page now.

At 9:22 -that "Cracker, please!!!" look & laugh from Katina when they told them to come back in January for what I believe the guy off camera called a "splash in" when you jump in the ice cold water after the challenge. Not much into seafood, but it looks like you enjoyed it enough for the both of us. Thanks for posting another kick (b)ass video. :-)
