Kat, when I heard you say your tooth started hurting badly I had to mention that every time I have a sinus issue one or more of my back teeth start hurting - so bad that I was crying the first time it happened and I thought I needed a root canal. The great dentist did an X-ray and said my sinuses lay right on my back teeth. I did not need a root canal, and now when my sinuses act up - I take a sinus med and my tooth pain goes away. Just my experience, but wanted to mention, always good to get it checked out though anyway. XOXO

Similar issue. When I develop sinus issues my lower teeth hurt on the right side of my mouth and I always use sensitive (sp?) Toothpaste.

I had a great layover in Manhattan once and forgot pants. All I had was a ratty pair of leggings for sleeping and my uniform skirt. Talk about being bummed out!! 😂

Hello Kat! I live in Bay Area and caught the same head cold. I’m prone to sinus infections. I highly highly recommend you get a nasal rinse, before you go to bed take a really hot shower, squirt your nose, and blow the heck out of it, come out and take a Sudafed. Repeat first thing in the morning. It totally shortens my congestion. I hope you feel better soon.

I have chronic ear pressure and infections. I second this! Also, if your ear ever pressurizes and won’t relieve again, try pinching your nose, blowing into it, and swallowing at the same time. Paid $300 to an ENT for them to give me that helpful hint!

Hi Kat. If you get the swimmers ear again stay standing up and drop your head down to your knees quite quickly wait a cuople of seconds then come back up and they should clear straight away...same if you get swimmers ear from the water do exactly the same. ( ex flight attendent and surfer) simple but works.

Wear foam ear plugs for take off and landing. It'll save your ears when you have a head cold. Also wear the in-flight shoes! Nobody will care but you 😉.. I keep both flip flops as well as sneakers that flatten to just the size of the sole in a large zip lock bag with the air smooshed out. Takes up very little room.. and Makes it easy to never forget em.

The shoes got me…I was traveling for work a few years ago and usually travel the night before in casual clothes. For some reason when landing on my connecting flight I realized I hadn’t packed any trousers 🤣 I ended up at the world’s dingiest Macy’s that night buying something passable for the week that I could expense haha

Afrin is great in the worst periods but tissues become “addicted” and you get “rebound” which is worse. Someone suggested the saline nasal flushes 👍🏻 but use distilled water: always. Can warm easily.

I use Afrin just before my first flight ✈️ because my ears don't equalize (pop). It definitely helps with nasal congestion and opening up the eustachian tubes. Totally endorse sinus irrigation with warm distilled water.

Flew early October from Europe back to New Orleans. My ears popped somewhere along the way...my left ear. I felt like I was hearing everything from under water in a tin can. It JUST cleared up!! Ended up with a helluva sinus infection, drainage became pneumonia! I was a damn mess. Get you a good decongestant, drink more water, do a nasal rinse ONLY with distilled water ( look up netti pot ). Be well honey! 😘

Hope you feel better I'm recommend you get to Walmart and Grab a Neti pot!! That Neti pot is a cheap person's Navage that you can get at Bed Bath and Beyond for $100 the Neti pot is way cheaper!!
