Seeing Nina around for much of FMA's early run, just makes what happens to her painful. When she is stuck with Ed, you'd believe she would have become a recurring character for the later arcs. It just made her transformation to a Chimera all the more shocking. As much as I prefer FMAB for the art and loyalty to the Source material, FMA did NOT pull it's punches when it had the Tucker arc. Making Nina have more appearances made one believe that she was gonna have a lasting role as a Side Character, where she would have likely have wanted to be an Alchemist like her "Big Bro Ed", and a first time watcher would have been lead to believe she would have had a bigger role later on as a Prominent character... Then her Dad Made her a Chimera, and Scar killed her in the misguided thought of 'putting her out of her misery'.

FMA Brotherhood was like an MCU movie; they sacrifice too many high-tension situations with a quick joke. I like the style of humor in 2003 more, where it's more sparse and is used to keep the show from being too depressing.
