I’ve been on the train ride from Lithgow, went through the Blue Mountains all the way to Sydney & it was a magnificent journey too & would definitely do it again with the kids next time. :) I heard someone mention Penrith, I’m originally from there....born & raised from that area & my mum went to Emu Plains High.

All very familiar scenes here. My daughters live in the Blue Mountains. I live down on the plains.

Love all the Australian style houses and constructions, and the sun of course. I’m at the moment working on my bachelor graduation internship. After that i’ll pile up some money for a few years and find my way to this paradise :-)

The Blue Mountains are gorgeous at this time of year as the maples and birches (no, that's not a swear word LOL) start turning red and gold

Good shots of the landscape, looks pretty dry at the time. Nice to see there are still some old meters around, I suppose they will be changed over to the boring digital meters one day.

The landscape was pretty dry. I try to get hold of Ausgrid or Prospect to get hold of one of those CT email SDM meters with the two decimal pointers.

Miss those noisy old MetroVick U-Boats, they made all the right EMU sounds, growling motors when starting, ticking compressors, and whirring dynamotors. The new trains just don't have character, alas.
