Excuse me but I thought there is nothing like Sugino Ha, because Katori Shinto Ryu is a cultural heritage of Japan and as such cannot be modified, can you please advise me thank you

Its not a cultural hertiage of Japan but of Chiba prefecture. Yiur right. No sugino ha. My friend in this branch tends to just say Sugino dojo.

Hi, it's a cultural heritage of japan, and nowadays there is different branches, take a look here : en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tenshin_Sh%C5%8Dden_Katori_Shint%C5%8D-ry%C5%AB Otake-ha is the mainline but others exist for sure :)

Sugino branch and Otake branch have different approachs on the same arts, it's still Katori Shinto Ryu at the end of the day. Alot of kenjutsu school also have this problem when multiple branches are established. Some teacher prefer slowly and perfect execution of every single minor details in the techniques, some other prefer to train the techniques in a fast and powerful manner

@@jaketheasianguy3307 The “perfect execution”?! Jezz… Mr. Sugino (the father) never received proper transmission. These silly techniques are his fantasies for about 80%.
