In my own sister's wedding, we spent 35 lacs in 2016. Everything was organized according to the groom's side. From food to decoration, each and everything. And even after all of this my sister's mother-in-law told her after wedding that stalls were too far amd her outfit wasn't too nice. My God they were really toxic people. My sister couldn't live with them even for 6 months and she left. She was pregnant at that time and now she has a 4 year old son but nobody from her in-law family ever came to see the baby. The court case is still going on. It took 2 years for my father to repay all the loans he took. When my sister asked for alimony of 20 lacs for her son the boy's side said these beggars did not even spend 5 lacs and demanding 20lacs. Even while writing this, my heart is paining. Never ever spend beyond your limits at the wedding and that too for those who won't care for it.

Like 5star hotel me sabhi guest ka rehna, decorations, function k liye dresses and menu was decided by groom's mother and all the money for all this was given by brides family although they could afford it. I didn't like how they're boasting that they didn't took dahej. It's another form of dahej i believe.

Wedding is a business in India. And honestly big celebrities doing big weddings help the market. Honestly I love how Vickey and Kat did it in India. Rather then splurging in foreign country. Well said👏👏. This is the reason I loved Vicky and Katrina's wedding. A lot was being said in the media about how lavish their wedding was going to be but it was rather simple and sweet. They are from different religions but decided to marry by one tradition. However, did pay homage to both of their cultures. What really surprised me was how simple and elegant Katrina's outfits were despite being from Sabyasachi. Their wedding bands were also not expensive compared to other bollywood stars. I liked how their wedding pictures showed the amount of fun they had. They were not proper by any means. It didn't look like they were staged especially mehendi and haldi pictures. It was like any other wedding. I also like how Katrina just like any normal bride let people put haldi on her. Their wedding was definitely not for show. It felt like a celebration of love. In the past famous bollywood weddings, it always felt like the goal was to make it look grandeur. But this wedding was different. It shows how their relationship is built on love and not on money and fame. It was definitely refreshing to see something like that in bollywood.

one more thing you should add is how Katrina and even Priyanka held their weddings in India only, with the country and the people who made them what they are, unlike dp n anushka. It's so sad that they spent nearly 100 crores in total in a foreign market in spite of having world-class hotels n destinations in their own country, the way pc n kat managed..

She took a bold step and cancelled the marriage, she also demanded them to return all the things given to them as gifts.....and if they refused to do so ,she will take them to court At the end all gifts and even lifafe given at the engagement was taken back .her family supported her choice . I wish that there will be more women like her who take stand for themselves

The fact that Anushka, Deepika born Indians planned destination wedding and then there's Katrina who chose to get married in India ...this really affects in so many ways #lovekatrina
@rocksneha059 Жыл бұрын
I can explain this. People who are already living in India and have never been abroad consider foreign to be more beautiful and dreamy, but people who have seen both worlds, realise how beautiful, unique and culturally rich India is which makes it a perfect wedding/tourism destination. While for Anushka, Deepika, they might have wanted to avoid the paps and celeb invites, maybe that's why they chose to marry in a foreign country.

Sorry not to be devil's advocate but that bride being pissed is understandable because I too hate din shagnada And if she has specifically asked for a song which she dreamed about why that wish cannot be fulfilled? Its not like she demanded it on last minute it was planned since weeks already so please don't bash that girl and choice of music doesn't really cost money especially if you are playing prerecorded tape. Maybe she planned it way ahead and it's DJ's fault but yes I agree scene nahi create karna chahiye but wo ladki shanti se bol rahi hai . I don't think she is a bridezilla she didn't ask for last minute expensive changes. And the parents and her family probably paid for it fully because many boys family don't share expenses so is it fair to be unhappy if event management failed to honour her request she decided weeks before when they are probably charging a hefty fees? Its failure on part of event management or whoever was organising music and all on top of that they have guts to make her look like a brideZilla. You atleast deserve what u pay for . Because aajkal everything on social media, extravagant weddings, airport looks, food, pta nhi kya kya....ye sab healthy middle class minds pe bahut affect daal rha hai.....ppl are so easily swayed & brain washed by all this....ki they don't realise how happy & beautiful homes we middle class ppl have......sab kuch externally perfect aur sundar krne ke chakkar mein log andar se toote rishton ko bas jodte phir rhe hain, har baat pe khud ko dusron se aur dusron ki life aur apni life ko bas compare krte phir rhe hain... When you make these videos, with so much clarity & simplicity, it helps to give an insight ki dikhawe aur long lasting cheezon mein antar hota hai.. True happiness can never be there where rich ppl are so jealous of each other only.....so much of toxicity..... Aajkal ki generation ko ek simple guidance chahiye of how to differentiate between the right and the wrong.....not everything that glitters is gold kitni sahi baat hai... Keep making your videos.... because aap kisi bhi topic pe apni opinion aur points bahut calmly aur respectfully rakhti hain.... it's so good God bless you 😇❤️

The bride with the song issue can be considered as somewhere reasonable because it happens only once in your lifetime and if something doesn't go as per the plan then anyone can be seen behaving this way..and come on..it's just a song..if she had planned it from several days so the planner should've paid attention towards it..like she got only one day and the dj messed up with her song..I think everyone is overreacting negatively towards her..it's her wedding and playing a song that she has finalize won't cost any extra money..she just needed her wedding to be perfect😩

It’s really irrelevant to target that bride. I feel bad for that bride. She must be dreaming about her big day since month. She must have spent so much time choosing the perfect song for her entry. She is not going to marry again and again. They paid for the wedding so they deserve everything to be perfect. It was the management’s fault that they made a bride sad right before her entry. We should seriously stop the custom of sending women away after marriage. Give me one reason why that's necessary other than that we're continuing a mindless custom of treating girls like property. Either we reverse it, which won't happen because 99% men & their families wouldn't let that happen or we can do the reasonable thing and have the newly wed couples live on their own.

😔 I also hate this custom. I don't want to leave my family and settle down with a bunch of unknown people 😥. But my family is ok with sending me away from them 😑. After marriage our own family treat us like relatives and then say this is not your home . Your husband's home is your own house 😥

I think you're missing the point. Parents want their daughters to have a perfect wedding day because it's a once-in-a-lifetime experience. And yes, if they're willing to bear the expenses, why can't people have a beautiful wedding? It's not about comparing ourselves to celebrities; it's about creating our own special memories.

Do you really think she was not going to get married? It was just her planned thing. Which she wanted to happen. For her it was one time moment in life and she wanted it to be perfect. I agree. I really don't understand that in a case where a girl raises an objection or speaks for herself people regard it as "why is she creating an *issue* "....."she must understand"...."she should have behaved properly"...... 90% cases mein ladkiyon ko hi bola jata hai ki bematlab ka *tamasha* bana rhi hai yeh.... Agar yeh same request groom ne ki hoti ki yeh waala particular gaana meri entry pe bajna chahiye.....toh yeh same cheeze uski demand pe nhi boli jaati.... Ladkiyon ki batoon ko almost har koi bahut halke me leta hai....and usko *nakhre* consider krta hai.... jab woh oppose krti hai toh phir waapas start ho jaate hai....*tamasha* kr rhi hai yeh... Log ladkiyon ki value hi bahut kam krte hai.... Girls are easily taken for granted and sabse badi baat yeh ki....bahut logo ko lagta hai ki unki yeh harkat sahi hi hai and bahut saari ladkiyo ko bhi yhi lagta hai ki that's the way girls should be treated.... That's how social engineering has worked with a girl's mind.

Yeah i completely agree with you this is the first video i'm kinda bothered by her statements i really can't see the objective or clear meaning of this video and isn't it mostly the brides family that pays all the wedding from what i hear since weddings around me are usually expected to be done by both sides , yes but you yourself should have the capability to manage in financially your wedding it's right not expecting that your parents pay it all of ,in the comments under one video i read comments like a bride getting pissed sometimes is usually due to the accumulated stress and it just ticks off yeah like maybe the one in this video is like snobby but chile

The competition of who is better than whom is very draining for me. I will never be part of this. Also, the thing of posting each and every moment online and showing off how happy a couple you are is something I would never subscribe to! Love Yami for her simplicity. She is the best.

Just because u feel, everyone can't compromise on their big day, it's her marriage and not urs r somebody else. She has right to decide how her wedding day has to be, when she has already made them clear that she wants a perticular song in preior, den her behaviour towards that was obvious.

That girl wanting for a particular song to be played during her entry was planned before obviously, something like that isn't a last minute plan, the dj didn't play it she would feel bad it was her wedding day afterall she wanted that for her, creating a scene on that is not good, but you can't blame her. And why do you think girls depend on their parents or would be spouse for the wedding, they might planned it themselves. Everyone be it guy or a girl plan your wedding according to your budget or how you want it, don't depend on others for your wedding expense, if you think you can afford a luxurious wedding, it's your wish go for it, you want a simple wedding do it. Whatever you want with your wedding do it, but for yourself, not for others.

I don't know which world you live in but majority of girls in India depend on parents for their wedding expenses ok from dowry to expenses everything is paid by parents ok. 2ndly no need to do so much drama on such a small thing grow up and act like an adult. In wedding some mistakes are bound to happen no need to throw tantrums on others you are not entitled to everything ok. Learn to take some responsibility as well.

Also did you even read my comment properly? my line was in context of her video where she said girls depend on their spouses for wedding, sure girl depends on their parents for wedding but girls and boys are coming forward to manage their own expenses for wedding, and if they do so they should do it fo themselves not for others. also mistakes happen that's why i said she shouldn't have made a scene for that but again you didn't read my comment properly but just here to share your entitled opinion that no one asked for.

Please don’t assume.. husbands rarely take care of any of the expenses of brides.. rather they put their demands like function decoration, food etc.. these things don’t get the due revelation.. I just said this because you pointed out that girls demand certain things disregarding the budget.. have seen many many weddings from inside in actual, 100% of the times only guys and their families have demanded things in the wedding function which was ultimately taken care of by bride and her family..

Btw, I was least interested in the details of my wedding, to the extent that the only thing I bought for it willingly was some make-up stuff and 3 sarees ( with my own money of course), the rest of it was planned by my parents and I loved everything about my wedding. The best part was, almost my entire family had made efforts to be there and I couldn't have asked for a better celebration.

She is elder yet she is taking care of her 5 yr old brother, mother, and her grand parents from dad & mom side yet when her younger sister decided to get married before with her boyfriend she was well aware of the issues of financial problems but she still demands so much at the time of marriage. She was so adamant to purchase a 75k lehnga for her marriage we were seriously shocked by her behaviour. And as we know there are other rituals also happens when there was time of marriage so we approximately spend 2.5 lakh for buying her clothes and i wa shocked with her behaviour. Because of this her family spend 25 lakh approx in whole marriage and currently my bff marriage was put on hold for few more years 🙄
