Al Jarreau recorded Spain, also Gary Valenciano (a mentor of Kat’s), here you also get a glimpse of Kat’s late husband Mike Shapiro on drums/arrangements. What a band! Makes such a difference! And her big smile at the end as if to say “yes, I did that!” This is the selection I recommend to show everything Katrina has in her bag of vocal gymnastics. Dang! This is so fun to watch but also kind of bittersweet because the drummer, Mike Shapiro was her husband. He unfortunately passed away maybe two years ago now. 😢. Mike is such a gifted musician who has worked with sooo many LEGENDS. Just look him up.

Incredible! She is incredible. And I love it! I really love it. I can’t help swaying every time I watch this medley. This is everything Katrina. Her medley absolutely hit me for six. Always . Lol! I miss Al. I got most of his cds. I play them when I can non-stop every 12th of Feb. I’m that crazy, they say. The last time I saw him live was in his Austin concert.
