I see a lot of comments about how the meanings of the two songs don't mix. My own interpretation is that the whole fusion talks about rebel women who made choices that were not accepted by society. Mira Bai was an outlier in her time and sacrificed much for her love of Kanha. Hard Kaur in her rap may be talking about her own struggles, but mostly, it is a story of any modern woman who makes choices that society doesn't approve of. So to me, the two songs go well together.
