The art looks like it belongs to a book for children where they learn different stuff as the types of mushrooms, trees, animals, ect.. The kitty explorer is a very cute character and i would love to see what its next adventure will be.

I love seeing more scenes with Kit! He’s so cute, and the piece is amazing! ❤ I almost never use metallic colours in sets, I’d prefer more colours in a pack of any art supplies. If I need a metallic colour I go search for it separately from a pack in the store.

I really like how the artwork turned out, such a fun and bold style. The light effect from the lantern with the different shades is amazing and I like the different colors of the lineart too. It's gorgeous. :D Also, I almost never use the metallic colors in any set, because I have a favorite gold watercolor paint that I use for my gold needs, and so far none of the metallic art supplies were as good for me as that watercolor paint. So they are just sitting in my drawer waiting to be used.

This review is so useful. 🎉 For what I use paint markers for, metallic markers are a MUST. But I don’t make art like this, I use them for decoration of non-paper items. Recently I was making wooden ornaments & would’ve LOVED these- good flow of ink in tiny nibs? Yes please!! I was doing Xmas themes so really needed those metallics lol. I don’t know if that’s any help lol. Basically I agree with you entirely- it comes down to what you use the pens for. Also WOW this came out SO GOOD. I was already sold by the concept, I’m a sucker for light play pictures, but I LOVE the finished product ❤❤❤

I'd really love to see you revisiting this review/doing a piece with you using the copics in tandem with your poscas! I feel like a lot of us who have poscas already have a decent amount, so the question would be more 'how do these work with poscas' and 'how do they work on other surfaces'. Loving all the Kit art! I certainly use the metallic colors, but I think having them as a separate pack isn't a bad idea--a set of like, different golds and silver goes a lot further than just one of each. Do you know if these are lightfast?

I used paint markers on illustration boards (think it was a Scrawlrbox) and the markers somewhat ate through it. I watched a youtuber review the same box and someone mentioned in the comments to gesso the surface first to reduce the pilling.

Your reviews are always a favorite of mine! When it comes to paint pens I like having the Metallics- because I usually used metallic paint pens whenever I am adding metallic details to anything. But if it was paint pens specifically I would prefer more greys and browns in the set.

I only use metallic gel pens. I get very frustrated when colored pencil sets have metallics. Especially when its is beyond just gold and silver

Seems that every brand is coming out with paint markers right now, not that I'm mad about it. I like the colour range of these have though the nips are too small for my liking, since I tend to prefer something similar to Posca's 5M size. Yay for more Kitt art!!

I use acrylic pens for lots of different activities with kids as well as my own crafts. I use a lot of metallic and glittery pens for both paper an non paper crafts 😊

I very rarely use the metallics that are included. As you said, I think having more mid tone browns and/or greys would be more useful in a set. You could always by metallics later 8f you needed them.

I love listening to you and your reviews with your accent I didn't know Copic had a paint marker set. I am just getting into reviews of several brands and what to buy for my budget. Copic is not now because of the price point for me (they do look lovely with the art piece you did). I am looking into arteza based on reviews and at least a set of posca's (and posca's you can refill with your own acrylic paint). I don't use a lot of Metallicas/shimmers in other mediums, but I don't have a lot of experience using them either so idk if I can judge them fairly. Some acrylic paint brands with their golds and silvers can be quite sheer as well so it can be discouraging to use if I want to use them as line art or highlights without layering. Same with color pencils (at least with wax based like prisma's). I wonder how Copic plastic nibs with do on canvas.

I use the metallic watercolors from my Gansai Tambi 36 set quite often, but I think more neutral colours should always be included instead of metallics, especially if the colour range is already limited.
