I reread The Grisha Trilogy before picking up King of Scars, and I am soooo glad that I did. I mean, I loved the Grisha Trilogy back when I first read it several years ago, so revisiting it was a wonderful time in its own right. But also, I didn't even realize how much I had forgotten, so I would have had no where near as much appreciation for the characters and their story arcs in King of Scars had I not reread them.

Highly highly recommend the audiobook of the Poet X. It is also awesome because it is only 3 hours long. I don't think I would have read the book if I had not listened to the audiobook.

Have you seen that there's a Tea Dragon Society card game? It's delightful! I would recommend Aquicorn Cove by Katie O'Neill first as it *has* a plot and focuses on ocean conservation efforts, with a magical twist. Princess Princess Ever After is adorbs, but also plot-lite

Maybe that's what happened with Sawkill Girls to me. Even though I liked the story, it took some time to get through the first half. But then I picked it up as an audio book (which is a media I rarely do) and just flew through it. I felt the writing was better to listen, and I ended up enjoying it more than reading it. If it makes sense? Glad to see a new video! And some really good recs too.

Was that intro song Madness by Muse?! I LOVE THAT SONG!!! Also backdrop is GORGEOUS! Interesting thoughts about Daisey Jones. I haven't read it yet, but I heard about it being in interview style so I definitely would rather listen to the audio version, as well. I'm very fascinated by media in multiple formats and can translate well like that, which is why I'm also more interested in the audiobook versions of The Poet X and Sadie since there is a vocal aspect to it. YAS THEM F/F BOOKS! I have Sawkill Girls and I'd be interested to see if we have similar thoughts on it. I gotta get into the Grishaverse I'm so ready for it! YAY VIDEO and MUCH love to you!!!

Granted I only read about a quarter of Eragon when it first came out so the rest of the book/s might be different. But by that time I had spent almost a decade being obsessed with the Dragonriders of Pern books by Anne McCaffrey, what I read of Eragon struck me as Anne’s books being regurgitated and I couldn’t get past that to read the series.
