Ok I’m ready to commit to saying J Katz-Moses is hands down the best woodworking you tube channel/guy I have watched. Superior knowledge and superior quality in every single video. Guess I’ll be heading over to website and spend some change.

WOW man! Am I glad I found your channel! Not only am I Pryor Baird fan, but I'm a Lompoc kid and still live locally. You do phenomenal work, and I so look forward to learning a ton of woodworking skills from you. I'm about to retire from 43 years of Welding /Fabrication but woodworking has been my hobby since I was old enough to hold a hammer in my gramps shop. Looking forward to many many years of building outdoor industrial furniture and Outdoor Kitchens and Living Space using all building mediums, and Trades that I've learned over my lifetime. Cheers

Absolutely love the desk and it is nice to see someone else using BLUM soft close accessories I used to work for a small home interior company here in the UK and our go to choice for soft close high quality hardware was BLUM be it hinges or drawer slides.

I'm about to make my first live-edge desk (well, first any-sort-of-desk really) and picked up some really neat pointers from this! The angled jigsaw cut is a great touch, way more efficient than just going to town with a grinder and flap disc :p

Very cool build Jonathan. I think what I enjoy most about you throughout your progression is watching how you always take others with you, like the build you did with mike, the stuff you do with Shaun. And incorporating his music in this video. It had a definite community feel with you Man. Thanks for that. And how’s the baby coming!!?? -Ben

Jonathan, I’m not a fan of all the live edge slabs. It’s become a fad that has been overdone BUT this desk is FANTASTIC. If I were ever going to make a piece of furniture using a live edge slab this desk would be my inspiration piece including the drawer and base. The whole project is outstanding. George Nakashima would be proud.
