I just want to direct u to proverbs 8:1 verse .13 which says " to fear the lord is to hate evil " . When we tend to hate evil ( anger , envy , pride , etc ) we tend be more in our sound judgement which helps u further to be wise in ur life to understand and deal with situation in much peaceful and wiser manner so the verse means when u hate evil( fear the lord) and start seeing goodness that's where real wisdom starts ... And ,that fact u said earlier that to have a relationship with God absolutely i agree , that's what new testament speak out having loving relationship with lord ... Not to raise any issue with u but just a try to make u see the thing in a different perspective . Much regards , and love ❤️✨

but why should we bring hatred towards anger lust envy or pride it should be our conscious decision to not act in such a manner not because we fear from God but because we love God and God does not wants us to act in that way when just out of love we can understand what is right and what is wrong then y to bring emotions of hatred or Fear and if you really want to hate something then why not to hate the cruelty which most of the human beings (so called) bestows upon nature like killing of Animals when we already have so much of cultivatable lands, fruits vegetables to eat then why to kill any animal just to satisfy our hunger and as you can see it results in ultimate damage to human society itself (spread of covid-19 and many such diseases in the history just because of Meat-eating) just imagine we humans have became so cruel that just because of eating Animals we are making the whole race of many animals in danger or even extinct Just imagine if tomorrow the Chicken farm closes and all are given free-hand to eat the normally grown chicken then it will not even take 10days to finish the entire race of the animal and just imagine what if mutton instead of being sold at 1000 per kg is sold at 10rs or 1re per kg the next month goat will also become extinct Hence we must be intelligent enough to show hatred towards the right thing and Love towards the one and only "God"
