Sinkin awesome!!! Food for thought. A little more sand ( 1 inch) will definitely help with bio load and aesthetic. The rays love to bury themselves on occasion too. Your current is powerful! The awowanas were being blown back a lit...lol. You understand most of us are living off your efforts right..lol. I don't think I will ever get a chance to get a tank that big. Are you going to more Discus in the future? I am generally not a fan but darn they look awesome with your mix of fish! Last,but not least, when the tank clears up it will be a jaw dropper.

Kept discus and arrows together for decades.. I use lots of floating duckweed it retards the arrows a bit from jumping especially when feeding. I’d weigh that top down too..

Discus won’t bother the rays. It’ll be the rays getting on top of the discus by trapping them down and attempting to swallow them in their 0.5-.75 inch mouths from experience The setup looks great

Thanks, in my experience the Discus were harassing my black Diamond. All of them. Even had to remove the ray into his own tank until this one was ready. But yea, I’m keeping an eye out for when the rays turn the table lol

If your having problems catching the fish, instead of chasing them back and forth-up and down, get a piece of acrylic or a sheet of that plastic grid looking egg crate stuff and trim it down. Then use the nearly tank size sheet to contain them and funnel them to the net. Much much faster, easier, and less stress on the fish.

Kev, Wow brother that 450 looks awesome those discuss will get so big and fill out in there. You need a few more red head tapajos in that tank. I believe in if it can be done I will try. I have a red devil female in a tank with my green Severum and gold severum and JD female and a green terror and a chocolate cichlid. They all get along great and do have some attitudes every now and than but they don’t hurt each other. I recently added 10 Buenos Aires tetras as dither fish in my 90 ish gal tank. The tetras love it in there and the big cichlids don’t mind them. Appreciate this video man. So what is the 150 turning into? Hmm 😊

I feel that I just set up my fifth tank a 20 long and went to weeks without adding fish just dosing prime and stability. Finely added 7 Julii Cory’s to start with. Looking to get a couple hillstream loaches if my lfs still has them and then either glow light, cardinal, neon, emperor tetras and possibly cherry barbs instead. I enjoy filling the layers in the tank but I didn’t want to go overboard 😂 it was either 7 Cory’s or a school of one of those so I decided Cory’s are probably better for cycling. I have spare sponge filters in my other tanks so it’ll be getting some established bb today.

In the saltwater world there are many who have micro algae in a chamber in their sump (refugium) you could for example have gubby grass in a chamber to absorb nitrate. Tunze makes a special refugium light and if you have it on at night, the plants make oxygen for the aquarium. it could be a good experiment and maybe even extend the days between water changes.

Two Arrowana‘s can absolutely be done!we did it. We just had to rehome them when they got too big for the tank because we couldn’t upgrade any bigger. I’m gonna love watching yours.!! It’s looking beautiful Kev.

Hi Kev, we are moving our angels to their own tank. Need a new center piece fish for the living room 75 gallon. Thinking of geophagus, because yours look so nice. Just want to know: will they eat my black neon tetras and glowlight tetras? They're all at least an inch to an inch and a half in length. We also have a male apistogramma in there but he can hold his own.

That equation doesn’t work. It’s about length and width. Tank height increases gallons.
