Just got mine and it's incredible. The true star is the key feel. Absolutely perfect.

Hi Tony, I find your vids most informative, over weeks to help me upgrade. To that end I visited your Milton Keynes store and traded in my DGX-650 Yamaha for a Kawai CA58, a much better feel and sound to that offered by Yamaha offered by Yamaha at the same price point, that feel retained the DGX slab unresponsive weight, as with most Yamaha mid range digital pianos. All of the voices and fancy specs are worth nothing without a decent feel. Roland a following that trend. All we want to do is play the piano, maybe a few drums or strings to turn out a result we are pleased to play. Your guy Tim did a great job, what a nice guy, helped me so much without pushing a sale, thus he got the sale. Looking forward to my delivery next week

Thanks Tony, the new one arrives Tuesday. From a GDX-650 with a peddle bar I look on Kawai as moving to a proper feeling piano. With luck it will improve my playing to grand master status, don't think so. Even Elton couldn't buy a piano to do that for me. The key response and action will make a world of difference. The upgrade in sound quality is an enjoyable bonus. Maybe I'll stop freaking my dog out, everyone's a critic. I will miss my DGX but really need to move up and onwards.

I always loved Kawai's samples compared to other pianos in how natural and realistic they sound. But hated how little expression you can have when compared to digitally modeled pianos like Pianoteq or even Roland's V-Piano.

There's so much I love about Kawai pianos, but I don't like the sound of the lower range, i don't know why. That's what's keeping me from buying one.

GO AND LISTEN TO THE OLDER KAWAI CN27 PIANO WITH HEATER PLAYING IT, WOW. ITS A SHAME ITS DISCONTINUED. I LIKE SOME THINGS ABOUT THE KAWAI PIANOS BUT IM A LITTLE APREHENSIVE ABOUT THE BASS. I LIKE A PIANO THAT HAS A DEEP LOUD BASS BUT ALSO ONE THAT HAS A GREAT TREBLE SOUND. ITS A BIT HARD TO FIND A PIANO THAT HAS BOTH. AND I DONT LIKE A PIANO THAT MAKES A CLICKING SOUND EITHER.

Hi I also want to buy a CA58 and ask my local dealer in Germany(Belin),they told me that CA59 will come out in 6 weeks and they dont suggest me to buy CA58 or Yamaha CLP645,as they stopp producing already ,thats the reason so many shops are out of stock. I you want to buy one ,please wait for CA59 .As I was informed ,the price difference is not high.

Nice demo! I have a one question. I just wants to know what is the difference between grand feel compact action and grand feel/Grand feel2 action? Dose this piano will work good as a controller? Because I want to use my vst’s and also same time I need to use on board sounds and speakers for my piano practice. I have heard lot about VPC1 and MP11se but VPC1 is out of my choice because it doesn’t have any sounds and unnecessary I will have to on my computer and studio monitors, MP11se I feel it’s better because I can use my headphone and practice but my question is dose CA58 can work good as a controller? In my country I will not get chance to try VPC1 and MP11se only product is available for demo is CA48 and CA48 has same key action like CA58. After checking all demos and reviews I have noticed one thing that CA58 and MP11se’s specifications are almost same accept key action and cabinet. I feel CA58 is more suitable for my use. Please guide me. Thank you so much 🙏

Previous CA models in the 2000£ range already featured the Grand Feel II action. This is a step backwards to me.
@rupe824 жыл бұрын
It benefits the CA48 as that can be had for £1400-1500. There's no other pianos in that price range that feature wooden action.

@@rupe82 the Kawai website states CA48 has Grand Feel Compact as well. Did you mean a different model?

Are You sure about bluetooth audio? On the website is the info about bluetooth MIDI only...

How do you find the Grand Feel Compact action in comparison with Grand Feel action? I didn't try any of them, but I tend to Grand Feel Compact, because I think it's more durable.
@bonnersmusic6 жыл бұрын
Both actions feel excellent but we expect nothing less from Kawai! I would say that the touch of the compact action is a little lighter, but the escapement on the Grand feel action is more realistic. It really is very subjective. I would not say one is more durable than the other, purely due to Kawai's reputation for excellent piano actions. Pop into one of our stores and give them both a try!

What about the digital/iPad/iPhone/apps capabilities of this instrument? Does Kawai make an equivalnt to Yamaha Smart Pianist or Roland’s Piano Partner?
@bonnersmusic6 жыл бұрын
The only Kawai app currently available is the Kawai Virtual Technician app. This allows you to amend settings like the string or cabinet resonance and tweek the tuning should you wish along with many other things. It does not offer the same features as the Yamaha or Roland Apps you mentioned. However, because it uses Bluetooth Midi as well as Audio, you can of course pair it with many other third party Apps that will offer similar features. These can be found in your relevant app store.

I have a question about layering capabilities on a digital. I am looking for a keyboard for home use, but really love the ability to control the volume on layers on the stage pianos. Is there a digital piano with that ability as well?
@alicaramba76804 жыл бұрын
In most home digital pianos you can control zone volume levels too, but there are no dedicated sliders/knobs on front panel.

Also is there a Pianist mode in CA58 on the lines of CA78?
@bonnersmusic6 жыл бұрын
The CA58 has the same user interface as the Previous CA67 model, rather than the touch screen. The Pianist Mode feature is not available on the CA58, only on the new CA78 and CA98.
@anshunjain6 жыл бұрын
The key action and display aside, is there much difference between this and CA78? (I am deciding between the two). I know that the CA 78 has two more tweeters..but does that create a huge difference?
@bonnersmusic6 жыл бұрын
The additional tweeters do help to give an improved clarity across the frequency ranges. As mentioned in the previous comment, the CA58 does not have the touch screen user interface like the CA78 and CA98. I would recommend popping into one of our stores in Eastbourne or Reigate and comparing the two models side by side in order to make your decision.
