Another really well balanced and informative video. Interestingly I tried out the CN29 and CA48 at my local store and found the black key texture on the CA48 (same as featured on CA58) to be very off putting. I much preferred the texture on the CN29. A personal preference but just shows the importance of getting out to your local store and trying each instrument out.

Wonderful demo you are the best demonstrator. I am waiting for the Kawai’s new CA79 demo and also Roland HP704...HP704 look very interesting on paper. Your review on Kawai CA79 and Roland HP704 will be very important, I am not looking for Roland but like I told before I am very much confused between Kawai CA79/MP11es and CA48. How’s the Kawai Grand Feel3 Action? Some people are saying Grand Feel and Grand Feel or 2 is very much same I don’t know what’s true. I am really confused because if CA48 will do the same jon then I am not interested in investing more money in CA79 and MP11se. And it would be great if you explain about key weight in grams. Thank you so much!

I recently tried roland hp704, kawai ca58, kawai ca79 , bovis upright ca78 and Yamaha clp 645 When I touched Kawai ca79 I forgot about any other digital piano ... I liked it even better than their new line novus .. seriously it is amazing.. I'm a piano player since I was 6 years old .. I'm used to acustic pianos mainly.. I want to buy a digital now .. so I am deciding for 3 months now.. but Kawai ca79 is the winner..

the multisampling you speak of is not in this piano - the CA78/98 have that. its called SK-EX Rendering.

Would you take the ca58 over the newer ca49?

Question about the Kawai CA48/58 vs CA79/99: According to,the specs I found in the catalogue on Kawai’s site, it states the Ca48/58 with the Grand Feel Compact only have counterweights in the bass region only, whereas the CA79/99 have counterweights in all the 88 graded keys. Would you care to elaborate ?

Hi there, I’m about to purchase a CA 64. I can’t find information on this series.. do you have any advice? Is it good? Thank you 😊

Is this a used model that you're taking a peak at? I know there was a CA65 at one point but I'm actually not familiar with the product CA64. If you have any link on it, I'd be happy to give my opinion. THanks! -stu

Merriam Music thanks for your reply. I worked out It’s an older model CA640 advertised as CA64. I have decided to buy a new Kawai instead of second hand. Again thank you for your reply.

I have did the some research and I got to know that Kawai CA58 and MP11se specification are same and in country I am getting a better price of MP11se, CA58 is out of my list because it’s very expensive.

CA58 and MP11SE belongs to different instrument classes. If you find specs the same, you likely have no idea what are you talking about.

mp11se has no speakers and is older.

Price?
@Dobermanator4 жыл бұрын
Call me a piano price detective. I found a reputable dealer in the UK publish the CA79 price and in the above subject description and within the video Merriam suggests the CA58 is $1,000.00 less than 79, I estimate the price in the $4,000.00 +/- $500.00 range. Pure speculation though, I would recommend Merriam without any hesitation to not only verify price but to experiencing playing this or similar digital if interested. The Kawai digital piano's have the best action in the industry imo, and this unit definitely comes with a higher end action.

I got it for $2100 on Reverb from SamAsh. It was listed as used Mint condition, but it was basically new when it arrived, packaged, all the plastics on, not a single scratch on it. And they have it listed again rn.

@@RafaelGrigorian Oops I forgot to qualify my prices were CAD (since that's where Merriam and Stu are located). Your post reminded me and I'm guessing but believe you are buying in US so that price then is almost $3,000.00 CAD plus shipping, your cost price is still a very very solid deal for sure. I heard somewhere if a dealer breaks a box open it has to be sold used, bet that is what you got. Forget all that now, how do you like it????
@RafaelGrigorian4 жыл бұрын
@@Dobermanator yes sorry I am from California! Not a single issue with the piano, playing it every day and really love it. I guess that's the case here, but even the box looked like straight from the factory, it was a great deal.
