Beautiful. We have the CA99 but if we hadn’t we‘d certainly purchase the CA901 now. Btw. we have zero technical issues. It’s a beautiful instrument that is very close to an acoustic with its soundboard speaker system.

How do you think Kawai's SK-EX rendering compares to Roland's fully modeled approach? This sounds more realistic to me but Roland's Pure Acoustic Modeling is intriguing. I'm having trouble deciding which model would be best to use to learn how to play an acoustic grand. Do you like this action better than Roland's Hybrid Grand Keyboard?

I'm pretty sure that you're referring to the LX 706 or LX 708. Why not do what I did just today. I put BOTH the CA and the LX 708(the 706 is NO MATCH at all!!) to play one after the other. Well......I can tell you this: THE CA BEATS THE LX HANDSDOWN!! But again: don't take my words for it. Enough with the luddism, objectively speaking DPs only get better, they already are shaming upright pianos and now they're already than most mid-range grand pianos. In the near future only extremely high-end grand pianos have a niche, but DPs is the future as for playability,functionality and economics. People say acoustics are better only because they're emotionally attached to them because they grew up playing an acoustic, but when I switched to a DP I am mad I didn't have one as a kid, I always despised playing acoustic uprights
