You mentioned Boeing as a partner of Embraer in this project, which is not the case at all. Both companies had an agreement regarding sales only. The KC 390 or C390 Millenium, is a Brazilian project. Embraer involved some other countries as partners for the production of some parts of the craft in order to speed up production. The plane is totally assembled in Brazil at Gavião Peixoto, which is a plant totally dedicated to producing military planes, including the Gripen fighter jet.

Brazil do the KC-390 for They Needs, Brazil is a Big country and had lot of Forests, so the KC-390 can land and takeoff from Every Improvised Runway and its Cheaper and can be sell to Worldwide

The C2 makes more sense to me . Brazil could have loaded TWO VBTP-MR Guarani 6x6's in the back of a C2 and flown them 5000 km But with the KC-390 they can only transport ONE VBTP-MR Guarani 6x6 5,000 km 🤷 I'm not sure where the KC-390 fits in to the market it's neither a light tactical aircraft (like the C27J) or a proper strategic lifter (like the C2 Kawasaki). It's just capable of doing a bit of everything. The KC-390 can allegedly transport a BOXER AFV or a UH60 helicopter , but the boxer would need to be stripped down and I've not actually seen any evidence for the KC-390 transporting anything larger than a PANDUR II.

KC-390 still win hands down... C-2 might hold several distinct advantages but KC-390 offers something that is hard to beat . Price per unit ..

@@rafaeltardelle C-2 is very pricey, couldn't help it, since the sole user is JSDF, unless there are some other countries brave the challenges and embracing it, still remains to be seen though...

The C-2's competitor is the A400M, so I think you're comparing it to the wrong one.

The maximum weight is not 23T, but 26T. Unlike the C-2, the KC-390 can do SAR missions (it can dock surveillance/search and rescue pods, and also do aerial refueling missions, Both fighters and other freighters. The freighter also manages to have the shortest take-off and landing among freighter planes, and is also quieter and more economical.

Actually, C-2 has the shortest take-off and landing at only 500m. C-2 actually can do ELINT as RC-2

C2 can do all the stuff kc390 can do Matheus , if they need , Japan already have air tanker kc767 , but if need they can turn C2 into Ariel refuel it not super hard modify

Your data is wrong; the KC 390 has a maximum load weight of 26 tons and not 23.6 as shown in your video.

KC-390 Cargo Compartment 18.5 x 3.0 x 3.4 m? That includes Ramp length, flat floor is 12.7m on new design. C-2's Ramp length is 5.5m.

@@Idonteatdog It's not minor, actually is bigger than the C-130 Hercules. Ofcourse it is not a heavy carrie like the A-400 or C-17, is a mid-size like the C-130 once they aim the same market but far from being a minor aircraft carrier.

I hate to see mixtures of developing country confusion and groundless pride as some South Americans saying kc is better here. The airplane is a shameless copy of the original that was made ten years earlier at a quarter of the cost with half the capabilities. Some pay for what we need. Bigger sales volume only means there are more people settling with what they can afford. A norm in some developing parts of the world, but never so among the bests. Comparing the two is meaningless. Just different classes. Saying kc is better is only being Brazilian. Brainless.

I see a Brazilian being Brazilian and see nothing. I’m not kidding you. If you make a copy of an ten years old airplane for the half the capabilities, you can make it for quarter of the price easy. A very good business practice for country like Brazil where income inequality is so great that a very small population of the country can do well in making cheap copies in very small market business like aviation. But it’s too Brazilian if anyone say Brazilian airplane of the two is better. This is not nothing anywhere except Brazil, and I’m not kidding. It’s a tragedy.

There's one major advantage that KC-390 has; Japan won't export this jet anywhere due to ARTICLE 9 of its pacifist constitution OR US permission. Brazilians on the other hand can significantly sell their stuff in the open market.

「C-390 の荷室は18.5 x 3.0 x 3.4mでC-2より33%も大きい」とランプ長込みと C-2 の15.7 x 4.0 x 4.0m(ランプ5.5m含まず)を比較しているんで、その辺りの間違いがきっかけなのでは?

Complete different categories. They would be competitors IF Embraer made a brand new stretched version of the 390. The way it is now its competitors are only the Antonov 178 and good old but tough Hercules. WS military analyst of the Franciscan Branch of the Order of the Temple

That's because you don't know the Brazilian projects that still haven't got off the ground, such as the STOUT aircraft with 4 engines that would be amphibious similar to the KC-390 and the Dirigivel eternalus titan that with an autonomy of more than 10 thousand kilometers and with a capacity for more than 100 thousand tons of cargo that could still be coupled to a nuclear reactor which would guarantee an autonomy capable of going around the globe 2 according to the engineer's own calculations, it would be like an aircraft carrier in the skies

Different companies/countries continue to attempt to end the reign of the C-130, Someday the reign will end, but updates/modernizations keep the old girl still relevant. Plus, the airframe is near like a tank.

@@gazof-the-north1980 você está bem enganado amigo,pelo visto você não entende nada de aérea militar,o KC 390 foi criado justamente para fazer operações tanto civis quanto militares de forma versátil e tática (rápida): 1-decolagem em pistas sujas e irregulares como pista de terras e lama,com o Brasil já tendo testado essa funcionalidade a mais de 1ano. 2-apoio e desembarque de tripulação (paraquedistas/civis) 3-desembarque de carga(tanto em pouso quanto em sistemas de lançamento em vôo) 4-apoio a queimadas,e capacidade de acabar com incêndios (podendo carregar muito mais água doque helicópteros obviamente) 5-capacidade de reabastecer outras aeronaves em pleno vôo,tanto cacas quanto outros cargueiros(como por exemplo,como o Brasil fez resgatando brasileiros que estavam presos na Ucrânia) Por esses motivos não entendi o seu comentário amigo👍 O KC 390 cumpri a mesma função do outro cargueiro que você mencionou,e ainda cumpre várias outras,justamente por isso e considerado um avião cargueiro tático/versátil de carga média. Outra coisa e que ele e estremamente barato em comparação, justamente porque foi criado para as nessecidades do Brasil,claro que isso não importa para outros país,mas e um ponto a mais e positivo,em comparação com outros que são infinitamente mais caro, exemplo e que o avião japonês e praticamente uma cópia do cargueiro Brasileiro (mesmo dsagni,mesma função,mesmo coptck...) Bullshit... As far as I know there was only one crash, and it was not due to "bad stability". And its production was not cancelled. Quite the contrary. There is even a new state of the art ELINT variant of the plane.
