Kawasaki ER-6n Front Fork Service

Brief overview of the front forks being serviced. Fresh fork oil and fresh oil seals replaced the worn out ones.

Yes they are exactly the same. I cannot recall the price, but I think it was below RM200.

why didn't you use the piece of pipe you had to drive the fork seal in ?? You used a punch which can easily slip and damage the fork stanchion.I would have put the pipe n top of the seal and pushed the seal in and maybe a gentle tap on top with a soft hammer to seat it.

Of course you need to service your forks, there's no "inspection" apart from obvious oil leaks due to broken oil seal, they will inspect when they break down your fork while servicing.

Not really, the complete process would take a couple of hours.

Sorry the owner sold the bike a long time ago.. I do have a friend that bought a 2006 ER6n, that one is running just fine..

Scary, Doesn't seem to worried about getting dirt or grit inside the shock using a rag off the floor to "Clean" everything. I'd cringe to see this guy building a motor wiping off bearing surfaces and crank journals :(

You need to find a different shop/mechanic.. Even for a more complex upside down fork it takes maybe just half a day to get it done. The guy in the video has since passed away a few years ago due to old age + health issues. RIP.
