360p crew? Oh I'm on my own again :( Sorry about the wonky pic again, I tried stabilisation and it meant I could not crop the image further to straighten it. I don't think the difference with my Hero 5 is noticeable enough to carry on using and I can't use superview while recording at this resolution for some reason, I should not try new things while doing a video lol :)

I had a GPZ500S with 40k and an ER500 with 74,000 miles on the original engine. Still went well. Same engine design. These Kawasaki twins go on forever.

I just picked up a 2015 er6f, with 11k miles on it and in damn good condition, and im loving it, its my first "big bike", but it is a big bike! Its way faster than ill ever need😂. I love it. Thanks for the vid dude, its getting on now but still relevant.

@@OptimalGoat glad you like it still, great first big bike. No matter what anyone says its still a very quick bike and a ton of fun 👍

@@HalfdeadRider Man, I was so surprised how fast it picks up from ~3rd gear going through the gear box up to about 70mph(definitely no faster, I swear), Maybe I'll get used to it and want something more, but i can't see it personally. Its sits nicely in the middle of the revs at 70mph-ish, and could do it all day I think. The screen takes a reasonable amount of wind blast off my chest, and its looks great. I'm in Norwich too, so if I see you about on your blue Kawasaki, ill give you a wave, or maybe a cooler side nod 😂. Thanks for the reply dude. 👍🏻

I almost picked up one of these to start on. They have that torque to get off the lights fast but still a comfortable position. Great review!
@HalfdeadRider6 жыл бұрын
Thanks bud, they are great for the UK, not many good roads to get a up to really high speed so acceleration is better for more fun more of the time. I've already got a -1 toothed front sprocket to boost the torque a little, just need to save for a bit for a decent chain and good looking standard toothed rear sprocket. Saying that I definitely want a supersport bike next time, at least a ZX6r :)

Ive had full licence for 10years, had a gsxr 6,1k a ninja 9r and 4 hayabusas. Unfortunately the last one got stolen in feb. Getting a 08 er6f soon for now gonna be interesting to see how it feels. Much more fun riding a slow bike fast than a fast bike slow

@@mrc2k5 that's why I also ride my ZX9r fast 😂 This ER-6f though was a fun little bike, akmost always kept up with other bikes like ZX10r, S1krr's etc, cheap and fum but still shifts.

That is so weird ! . . . Hang on I know that road ! Just bought a 2012 Kawasaki er6 f and as it is some 15 years since riding I have been really sensible and have been trawling through KZbin advice videos. Halfway through your excellent video UEA Sportspark, I work there, I know that road ! Video appears to be oldish, hope you are still riding - Ex London despatch rider Toby

Always cool finding videos of local riders 👍 Great bike to get going again with bikes, not stupidly quick, but a very fun bike still. Yes I am still riding, I have fairly recent videos, none for a few months now for various reasons. I now ride an even older bike, a Y2k ZX9r, amazing beautiful beast 😎👍

@@HalfdeadRider Working at UEA Sportspark as I said (I teach rock climbing) that's how I recognise the road. Fairly new to the area, I am Dereham way, up here looking after my mother. Ex London despatch rider from way back so this is my first bike for some twenty years. Had the bike for about six weeks, had to re train myself (your video was useful) but now fully confident and very happy with the er6f. As you mention in your clip it has plenty of power to get you out (and in) of danger. Recently took a long ride/trip to Essex, stayed at friends. Next day rode to my brothers in London then straight back up to Norfolk. Very impressed by this little cutie it didn't 'blink'. We got to know each other at high speeds on the M11 A11 and A14 through to Thetford. Then really got to know each other on the A1075. Kawasaki, in my opinion have been very shrewd with this 650 range.

@HalfdeadRider2 жыл бұрын
Definitely a good first big bike mate, has plenty of torque to have some fun, but can ride them gentle while you learn too. Great fun bike, I had it for three years, the only issues I had came on due to the lockdowns, it overheated after the first, due to moisture in the oil, after it dumped a load of moisture as steam it was fine. I done an oil and coolant change to be sure, it never happened again. And my rear brake siezed up, unfortunate, but not a usual issue, most Kawasaki have the same rear brake set up, including my ZX9r I have now, and my mates ZX10r's and Z750's etc. The engines will go on and on for many thousands of miles when looked after. The originals like this were the best 😁 👍

Good review of your bike! Could you use anti-rust touch paint on the swingarm? Also, the trim edge might be quieted down with a bit of black door edge trim for cars. Just an idea.
@HalfdeadRider6 жыл бұрын
Thanks :) I need to buy a rear hugger before it's even worth trying to fix the swing-arm as road dirt and grime and stones will still ruin it in no time. I do spray it with ACF-50 after cleaning the bike, to try and remove some surface rust and prevent more building up. Yes, rubber trim would do it too, I just used what was at hand and it does work. I think it just got worse for a bit due to getting wet. It is not really noticeable in this video, but I think it was in my last. When I have some spare cash I might see if I can find some really thin rubber trim, strangely it's just one side that is effected.

No problem, just incase you don't know, try riding in as much of a relaxed state as possible. Don't grip the bars tight, keep your arms relaxes and hold the tank with your knee's. It's much harder to control if you hold to tight or tense up from being nervous. Be safe 👍
