Awesome comparison. You've done a great job at recording the sound there. I'm buying a 2012 er6n with the same exhaust and I now can't wait. Cheers for the upload

Tried to get the sound better in this video as the other one I did, did not do this bike and the pipe justice. Amazing exhaust!

Ive a 2015 ER6F and my friend picked up a 230mm full system from Black widow for me. I live in Turkey sonshe will bring it to me. I dont know if Ive made a mistake going for 230mm muffler. Is it too loud to be road legal? I dont want to end up paying huge fines.

I've just purchased the same exhaust for my 2006 er6. I've got a question to ask does yours pop every time you decelerate?
@sledgebikes28967 жыл бұрын
Yep, like most after market exhausts, they are tuned for a bit more performance (not a lot more)... It does say that no re-tuning is needed and my bike runs great with it on, there is nothing to worry about with a little back fire, I like it and it adds to the tune it plays :-) Some high performance race pipes will mean that the bike will need re-tuning, but these are normally very loud and expensive and normally state that re-mapping or tuning will be required...

Sledge Bikes cheers
@sledgebikes28967 жыл бұрын
Yes it does,,, And I think you will find that most aftermarket exhaust will to. BW say that there is no tuning required, but as with most after market pipes they are on the edge,,,, giving you that little bit of extra performance and sound :-) If you decelerate hard you can even get the odd flash to :-) Again this is quite normal with an after market exhaust.

I want to buy the kawasaki er6f as my first bike (48hp restricted because I live in Germany) Would you recommend it? Seems like it's the best bike for the price in the category :)
@sledgebikes28966 жыл бұрын
That's the reason I bought mine, I feel that is was the best bike for the price. It goes and handles well and there is lots of after market bits you can get to liven it up a bit. Mine was a great buy and I don't think you can go wrong with the Kawasaki er6 as a first bike. Ride safe Malcolm

They change the design of the baffle. I have the same 200mm muffler, however 2023 model.

How do u get on with mot being loud ?
@greendemon47734 жыл бұрын
Did you had any gain? Faster? More top end?
@sledgebikes28964 жыл бұрын
I think that there was a bit more top end and it seemed to even out the power curve a bit. it was certainly better to ride. But for me it was mainly about the sound and the fun.

is this full system or slip on only ?
@ardaakyuz50542 жыл бұрын
ER6N and Fs exhaust pipes are one piece unfortunately. You have to do full system if you want the stock muffler gone
@davidboden5486 Жыл бұрын
@@ardaakyuz5054 No they arent one piece ( at least on the 2009 -2011 models) . you can by a slip on and a link pipe and use the factory downpipe.
@ardaakyuz5054 Жыл бұрын
@@davidboden5486 Im talking about 12-16 models. And 100 percent sure they are single piece

No, it's on my todo list, I have tried but just get to much wind noise, need a better camera first to do the sound justice.

Is it safe for the engine to run without baffles in?
@sledgebikes28966 жыл бұрын
Hi, As this type of exhaust is road legal and not a full race pipe, it generally does not need the engine to be tuned, It might pop a bit and back fire when down throttling but that's just un-burnt fuel, it should not course your engine any long term problems... In short you could cut your pipe down to a short tube and the only problem/benefit you will have is the noise :-) If you want to get the best from your engine then getting your engine tuned with your new exhaust will always give you that little extra power etc... A full race pipe will always need to be tuned and setup correctly for your bike to give the best performance...

@@sledgebikes2896 does it spit flames without the baffles in?

@@Pikachu-om4pc Hi, it only spits flames and pop's when throttling down quite hard from quite hi revs... If your riding steady then not so much, maybe the odd one...
