Thank you for posting this. pretty sure this just happened to my FH721v. Don't let the shit poster get to you about the oil. He has never posted anything and you've helped thousands with this video!

Thank you. Hopefully, you didn't make the same mistake I did with the crank when I pulled it out enough to remove those plastic tits I dropped the cam followers. Sorry I didn't see your post earlier. As to the oil, the previous owner of the property had "lubed" this area of the barn quite well, so I was never worried about dribbling a little more.

did you find any of the plastic pieces that were broken off in the motor? great video

Yeah, I made sure I got those out. Why they didn't make these parts out of metal is just stupid.

I've found, after 50+ years, of working on motorcycles, cars, trucks, tractors, mowers and a little bit of everything else, that it's far easier to drain the crankcase oil into a pan/bucket/container, than to have to get it up off the floor. Christ, what a mess.

I did drain the oil into a pan. Most of what's on the floor, has been there for a long time, and it actuallylook pretty good now. I stored sawdust in that bay, and it sucked most of the oil out of the concrete. The guy I bought this place from, had a mower shop and drained oil everywhere. If my double decker garage ever burns down, they'd accuse me of arson, with all the accelerant in the wood. The wooden floor is soaked.

I have a zero turn in my shop with this engine. It was surging and RPMs go too high when you throttle up. It runs fine if you keep the throttle about midway. Does this sound like the governor is bad like in your video? If the governor is bad wouldn’t it race at high RPM at any throttle level?

Mine did a few weird things, before it went completely. First check, to make sure your linkage, didn't vibrate loose. I left some of my mistakes, in the videos, so hopefully, others wouldn't repeat them. On a different subject; Do you have any oil leaks? I'm still chasing mine. I've replaced the upper seal, breather gasket, and still have oil coming from somewhere. I could live with a small leak, but my belts get soaked, and burn up. Thanks for watching

Not sure if this is my fix? My kawasaki FS65V1 gets hot, and the throttle lever backs off losing RPMS....constantly pushing throttle up....any ideas or thoughts would be welcomed! Thanks
@battalion151R8 ай бұрын
That sounds more like a friction issue with the throttle lever. I'm assuming it's very easy to move it from idle to full throttle. You might be able to "tighten" it back up by crushing the rivet with a C-clamp as a stop-gap. It sounds like the lever assembly is just worn out. It may be time for a new one.

@battalion151R ...appreciate the response... it is firm in movement...but why does work fine then after 30ish minutes go to de-throttling on its on??
@battalion151R8 ай бұрын
@detaronrockydoo6957 I'm stumped on that one. Look at the carb linkage and squeeze those tabs a bit tighter. As the engine heats up, it may expand the clearance on the plate, allowing for a little less friction. Just my 50 cents worth (adjusted for inflation from 2 cents worth).

Thanks George but mines still running. And, much better after a new carb.

I was just reading the first message. I'm assuming that you watched the first one, and hear me talking about the over revving, with no throttle response. I finally found my oil leak. I replaced the top seal, a while back, because it was leaking. The new one evidently leaked too. I replaced it again, and no leaks. Woohoo.

Do yourself a favor get rid of the frame oil filters They suck horrible filters
@battalion151R3 жыл бұрын
Yup! I know. I usually use Purolator, Wix or even Waldo's brand, Superfilter, is better made. As a matter of fact, those are actually pretty good filters. And, did you do that?
