Spoke wheels are terrible thing to deal with. Used to replace tons of these back in my motocross days. Long, long ago but you made it very interesting. Your videos are better second time around and little bike turned out great! Keep your smile on!

Despoking wheels is a tedious process made easier by having the correct tools. Putting them back together is equally tedious but requires even more skill to get all the spokes set-up correctly. Glad to see you have the right tools for the job!

Very nice job Dana, your joy at the completion of the task is very uplifting. The only time I despoked a wheel I used bolt cutters as the spokes were not worth saving and a replacement set was available. I like your nipple tool but find clamps a tad better at times. ;-)

I’ve done this a few times. I just use a bolt cutter and kill the spokes, and replace with new ones.
