Just installed mine. Great product. Never payed any attention to the factory skid or how close it was to the trans case until I watched this video. After doing to install I realized just how bad this is needed.

Received this skid plate today and immediately started the install. Was easy. But..... If already have a rear 2 inch receiver installed will have to use the two long bolts in front. The long bolts hit the bottom install bolts and nut from the receiver hitch being mounted. Very happy with quality of skid plate. And a plus productis shipped with a koozie and stickers. Thanks guys. Definitely a needed accessory

I would call it a Bash Guard and not a skid plate. Really to different things. I was very glad I had mine in Baja.

I was able to place Factory Utv skid over the top of this, adding to protection. Should be bulletproof.

I have thus skid plate but wich other plastic skid body do you recommend for the rest of the undercarriage? Thanks for your help. Also on the Special edition KRX1000 with the HI-Phonics sound system where are the speaker wires for the rear? I want to add speaker pods because mine didn't come with the rear speakers from the dealer because it has an aftermarket cage so i guess they were not mounted because the bolts were used to mount the cage.

We use and sell the super ATV skid. They fit great. I’m not sure on the rear speakers, however, those bolt into the factory cage mount, so I’m not sure they would work with an aftermarket cage.

I installed mine a few months back. Now im adding super Atv skid plate. How much longer bolts do I need to source.

Depends on your creativity. Some people say they needed nothing, some people need two bolts for the back or they drill the washers. Up to you but I don’t have exact measurement

It’s not that tough. But you do need a sharp metal drill bit. Nothing dull. You can also start with a smaller bit to step up. Another trick I have done in the past is you can use a floor jack underneath your drill. Have someone give it light pressure while you’re drilling. if you’re drilling and not going anywhere, you’re making it worse by hardening the metal.

@FULL ACCESS UTV I'll go purchase a second bit tomorrow. I had purchased a new one 3/8 inches but it was definitely the cheapest one they had so maybe I'll source a more expensive one and try again. You seemed to buzz through it.

On my 2023 the 2 rear holes you drill out have nuts to thread a bolt into it do I still drill that and do away with that nut behind factory plate

It is the same on all years. Drill through the nuts. What’s left of the nut will be extremely thin and usually can be crushed by tightening the new bolts. Some people choose to remove what’s left of the nut but it is not required.

@@michaellindsay4762 All manufactures of the skid plates are the same. They use the last two holes. It is best to not reuse those bolts because they are small. Bigger is better and we have never done it that way.

No need for one in the front. Above the front is the cross bracing channels made by Kawasaki to mount the front differential. It really reinforces that area.

@@joesageser9707 We run the super atv front frame brace on our rigs. Stiffens up all the mounts and acts as a great skid plate.
