Full restoration, Standard bore, Re-chromed everything, 2 pack paint Mandarin Mica orange. Has a custom battery box and associated wiring fabricated to accommodate charging circuit, electric horn, blinkers & ignition switch. This little beauty is ready for the road. Check out the Atomic Green one also...

Hi Robert. I had some 50v 30amp bridge rectifyers in my spare parts box I used but you could easily use a lower rated one from Jaycar or Dick Smith. The only reason I used a rectifyer was I wanted to add a battery to the circuit to run a blinker relay.

Unfortunately no wiring diagram. 6 volts it is. The basic flow is the 2 wires from the lighting coil/alternator produce A.C. I lifted the one wire that goes to ground and extended that wire to come out a bridge rectifier. This effectively isolates the A.C. from the frame. The 2 wires run to a bridge rectifier to convert to D.C ( I had a couple of spare square 50amp bridge rectifiers but a 20amp one from Jaycar would be fine). This output runs via a battery, then to the key switch, then horn, lights and blinker relay utilising the original handlebar switch blocks. I used inline brake switches for brake lights (ebay items cut to length with new end 'T' pieces soldered back on). I also used 2 terminals on the key switch to earth out the ignition wire from the coil. The first position on the key switch brings the lights on, second is ignition & lights, third is ignition with no lights(saves battery). Good luck

Hi Nice bikes. I am just starting to restore my 1975 MT/KV75 I have had since 1980 I was 10 years old then. I got it from a friend of the family who had it from new. since then it has been raced and rolled many times the most reliable of all my bikes now with most cosmetic things broken. It is time to get it back on the road. Do you have details of the electrical rectifier you are used are you running 6 Volts?
